Whoa! That’s practically minor surgery not just an update. It’s looking good though. My Raleigh should be up today or tomorrow, and my Giant, which I’ve been building over three years (because i’m poor) should be up in about two or three weeks, so I’m excited for some feedback finally, and we’ll see how much everyone hates my bike.
Looks very tidy. I like. Do you ride with out cages? I’m a clumsy rider,so I can’t ride fixed with out them or my foot slips off and I get a ding in the back of my leg. I can’t do tricks or wheelies either. Like I said. Just too damn clumsy.
I ride with cages but, I only have plastic cages mounted and they make the bike look kind of messy. Gonna pick up some steel cages someday, but until I do no pics of plastic cages. Wheelies are over rated. They aint gonna get me around the city all day.

I like the overall look of this. Pretty tidy build.
I’m inclined to agree about the saddle though, it does look a bit out of place.
ng: I only realised today, just how good MKS Sylvans with metal cages look on any bike. I fitted the metal cages to The Wasp earlier, along with black leather straps to match my Brooks. It finishes the bike nicely.
Getting back to this bike, great job G!
I switched to plastic cages years ago simply to save my toes some discomfort. Maybe they’ve improved the design of steel ones these days. Never broken a plastic set either. Ripped the rivets out of 1 of the steel set I had doing a hill climb years ago. Maybe they were a bit cheap and qc at the factory wasn’t up to much.

MKS Sylvan pedals and MKS steel cages are solid. Maybe brown leather straps to go with your saddle.

brown seat looks out of place. a black one would tie together well with the black rims and brake.
