February 20th, 2011 @7:05 pm

@sloman…I’m aware the photography skills are oh so lame but you need a dictionary my friend

Non D.S. pics in my book start at 3.5. A “real” track bike needs drops, not risers. 7.13 rating for another ghost bike? Whats everyone smoking?
February 21st, 2011 @1:29 am
well I like it heaps,I seen that brake somewhere, you will need the mastercard for one,the crank is awesome too, really dig the whole bike but would have to agree drops would be nicer, looks ghost to start with but I think after a good look over it has enuff color/silver to think otherwise, enjoy your bike fussy

For a new bike this has some cool features like the fork with rake, the brake caliper and the track ends. But for all that money u’ve put in it i would still buy myself an oldschool track frame and rebuild it.
February 21st, 2011 @3:47 am
@ mr cobb…you must be smoking the mary jane because I never implied it was a ‘real’ track bike. If my intention was for it to be a ‘real’ track bike then it would have the drops…and no brake.
@ Florian, this is actually my first build, I do have a second which is a rare Yanagisawa NJS track build. I’ll eventually post it up.

Really nice. Interesting frame…those fork ends, the taper of the down tube?? and the wider blade fork compared to the seat stays. Love that brake caliper…very cool piece. The BB looks low for a track rig but either way it looks like a great ride. Less white would be my only change.

Looks pretty sick. The only negative I can think of would be the amount of white, but I have a feeling that in person it comes across much better.

chi-ride…photographing white bikes with white tyres on matt silver rims is challenging because contrast levels become almost non-existent which enhances that ghostly effect. In reality the bike doesn’t actually look ghostly at all…as there’s a good balance of matt and polished silver against the white.

That’s what I figured. Gorgeous bike, and probably better pics than I could take as well.
I’ll put a finger painting of my bike up if I get the time.

Did you pay $3,500 for this frameset? Madd Props Fussy
February 22nd, 2011 @10:21 pm
Awesome site. Pretty much the same process as Surly, Trek, or Pake….ha!
February 23rd, 2011 @12:37 am
$3500 for a conversion! No track ends!slacker geometry! your pockets were picked my boy.At least you didn’t get your nails dirty and I’m sure you won’t get sweaty when you don’t ride it.But make sure all your peeps know how much money you wasted.
February 23rd, 2011 @3:18 am
mr sloooooman…school must be out is it? You aren’t exactly mr current affairs are you…but you should be due to your apparent comprehensive knowledge of all things bikes. A conversion, ha! No tracks ends, haha! I think it’s quite obvious you are not the sharpest tool in the shed but go on fooling yourself.
For those interested, the frame did not cost $3500. That price has a markup value on it which I was fortunate enough to avoid through dealing with someone very close to Zullo himself, who is in fact a highly respected frame builder in Europe.
If your immediate reaction is to shoot your mouth off when bitterness leaves an aftertaste, then maybe you should run away and finish your homework before mummy smacks your little white a##e.

fussy, you a fool.My mom has(RIP)been planted longer than you have been alive. I was only saying $3500 ’cause that is what that pretentious site said. PLEEZE. Assembled at a Professional POINT. guess the old LBS isn’t good enough to touch the “Maestro’s “peel off graphics. Has he worked for any winning Pro’s.Have any of these bikes won any majors? Do you know the difference between a converted roady and a proper track ended frame? No to all of the above. Laughter does not taste bitter, There are better CONVERSIONS on here that started in a dumpster and their owner did the work and saving to build nice rides and have pride in them.Props to them sir.Poop to you.
February 23rd, 2011 @8:14 am
well MR Fussy,no more ranting. spend as you wish, and ride ,or don’t where you please.Life is too short, enjoy
February 23rd, 2011 @2:55 pm
You post me a reply comparable to that of a harry potter novel and then post another final reply stating no more ranting. OK this is droning. The mother comment was unfair I accept that but – longer than I been alive? Now you are proving just how young minded and petulant you really are. I had my first converted roady back in 1989 so I reckon I got some kind of idea. If you think this zullo frame has no proper track ends then I’m afraid you need to remove those coke bottle goggles of yours and find some newbies, because they’re not working. For the record, those peel off graphics you refer to are not peel off in anyway. All graphics on these frames are painted and airbrushed on from masked stencils applied to the frame which are then cleared coated. I stand by my previous comments, you know nothing about everything. Additionally, you appear to be more of a keyboard warrior than most so maybe you need to get out and ride a little more. On a final note, this is taken from the Zullo website:
In 1985 he crossed paths with top Dutch professional team TVM. This would lead to Zullo being the frame supplier of the team from 1986 until 1992. The team was well known for such top professionals as Phil Anderson, Dimitri Konychev, Jesper Skibby and Scott Sunderland. The TVM team utilised the best of frame technology available at the time. Using everything from Columbus SL, SLX, MAX and MS on road, time trial, track and even cross bikes. Zullo frames would be ridden on the roads of Milan San Remo, the Northern Classics and the Tours De France, Giro d’Italia, La Vuelta and World Championships.

yep, missed the drop outs,I was going by what I saw on the website,my bad. My first Fixed was about 1971 or 2 and was a poorly done PX-10 that sucked. and actually I ride much better than I type. I wish I was as young minded as you think. But mia culpa,in ten words or less”gorgeous parts,on an ugly frame,my opinion only, enjoy”oh and too bad he didn’t manage to win something along those roads.

Nice looking bike, a little too much white for my taste also but overall a very nice build. Later.
