It is very beautiful, and cleaner than my silverware. Please ride it and get a little dirty. Thanks

Needs some sign of being used. Nice though.

Thanks for the comments. Only finished the bike on Saturday (17 July 2010). Pics were taken at the end of a 14km christening ride – hence the showroom shine. Adding front brake later this week and it’s going to be used as a daily commuter, so give it a couple of weeks and it won’t look this clean and will certainly be well used.

Captain America would be proud.

Sick! What a great drive train. I bought one of those Campy record cranks with a Campy bottom bracket I have never heard nor felt a smoother, quieter, quicker setup. This is a sweet bike and I understand the “get it dirty” comments, while knowing that I, at least, clean her up before Sunday pictures. Great set up. You should be proud.

@ luft wtf you like something?!?
@ alan said this in an earlier post and not to single youout but seriously can the “looks to clean” posts just stop it makes all the sense in the world to take a photo and be excited enough to post it right when you’re done a build.
btw “God Bless America”, or “Liberté, Égalité, Fraternité” this could go either way.

Feel special knowing that Luftmensh is hard to please.
Hollywood Hogan – also maybe god save the queen – although the blue is not quite right.

I like a lot sup most just don’t drop my jaw. I’m not a NO robot or anything, just have extreme standards, and it should be obvious that this build lives up to them.

Sharp looking bike. But it kind of sucks that you hacked off the derailleur hanger and guides. I get that you were going for a cleaner look but it is a conversion after all.

Hey Biff. The frame was destined for the trash and the way it’s riding I think it forgives me for the nip ‘n’ tucks and is just thankful for the new lease of life. Hopefully will be with me in service for many years.

Agreed. It doesn’t have to look thrift store just because it was.

If it was truly destined for the dumpster…then I say cool on the save and I can’t object to hacking off a derailleur hanger and guides. But it feels icky to me when people take perfectly good road frames and cut’m up in an attempt to make them look “track”.

It would be awesome if the national anthem played everywhere this went.
