Wait…how come no one is giving him shit for the Aerospoke or not having brakes? Am I on the right site?
May 8th, 2011 @12:49 pm
i think people arnt giving me shit coz i ride alot and really hard and am not just a ‘poser’ maybe??? but people are mocking me with the rating tho lol
i dont use brakes coz its a track frame and mainly as i dont want to ride with brakes,i know the arguments for having and not having as im sure you do,but i just dont want to use them as i really like riding with out them and the challenge,if you are good enough you can ride without brakes(i think im going to get slated for that one)ther are alot of kids out ther giveing brakeless a bad name and a lot of people that havent tryed it or arnt brave enough, and the aerospoke i have no real excuse for that
scrodzilla– did you check my flickr,i am very into cycling and im a bicycle mechanic aswell.and not a ‘fixie poser’ that goes everywhere at 10mmph coz he cant stop his bike i use a wireless speedo and go for 20mile rides trying to hit my top speeds and best averages,i consider myself a very experienced rider, the other riders i know ride brakeless but they cant stop properly and go really slow, they say in nuts for going so fast and for skidding so much, but thats how i love to ride
i have waffled ther pretty hard, and i think im going to get in trouble.nice one guys

oh yeah earlier this year i set about shaping up and just thru eating properly and nailing it on this bike everyday i lost 2stone(28lbs or 12.7kg) in 2months,i ride this bike alot

Is the fork not threaded for a brake or something? because It being a track frame isn’t really a good reason for not putting a brake on (not wanting to, however, is a good enough reason).
I dislike the aerospoke with the classic frame.
The bike just seems to have no coherent drive. An old selle turbo doesn’t match the aerospoke. The long riser bars don’t match the ‘fixie’ style or the ‘track’ style, and the green spokes don’t match the ‘commuter’ style.
I respect you as a rider, I just dislike your bike.

Hey man…no need to convince me of anything. We play for the same team.
May 9th, 2011 @7:52 am
mmsiphone–yeah the fork isnt drilled for a brake. the turbo saddle is ther purely for function as i was tired of having my gouch destroyed by thin carbon road racing saddles, and its a new one not an old/original one,it just lookes old coz iv busted it up a bit.i think the bike matches up pretty well, the black/gray/raw aerospoke doesnt shout look at me im white!! and the grips are black the straps are black so is the rear hub,rim and of cource the saddle.
the bars are not long there 38-40cms,or you must have some SUPER narrow bars??
the spokes arnt green ther floro, which is similer but not the same and lookes way cooler i got the idea from the 14bikeco floro bikes. its the only real colour on the whole bike that isnt black or white,if the rear spokes wher something normal it would be boring me thinks.
im interested in what you mean, depending on what your doing with your bike, does if have to look a certain way is that what your saying??”hey!! your not allowed to go to work on those wheels ther too colourfull!!”, ”you cant use those handlebars for going to the shops there only for doing tricks
see what i mean??
scrodzilla–preaching to the converted
soz for the LARGE comments

Nah man. You can have your spokes any color you want and your bars at any length. I just don’t have to like it.
An appropriate analogy would be Beethoven’s fifth. When he wrote that, he was going for the symphony sound. I suppose he COULD have added a bitchin’ guitar solo in there, but it doesn’t jive with the thrust of the rest of the piece. That’s what your bike looks like to me. Beethoven’s fifth, with the third movement replaced with a guitar solo, and all the violin chords replaced with a children’s choir. It just doesn’t make any sense to have all of those disperate parts together in one entity.

I’m with mmsiphone. May be a commuter’s bike, looks like a hipster’s. Would’nt for example fenders make sense in a commuter bike? And about the brakeless thing. Where did you bend your fork again?
No offense meant, have your bike the way you want it, that’s what makes for a perfect bike. But I don’t like the way you present it, spamming your flickr links allover the site like it was the latest shit you must see. After all it’s a fairly average bike with all the “mistakes” other people get destroyed for on this site.
May 13th, 2011 @1:06 am
Oh, and I didn’t rate it, because I don’t “rate” here any more. Just in case you think I’m mocking you.
May 16th, 2011 @3:15 am
yeah sorry for spamming it a bit ,that is all over now. if i had a few bikes to spread what i wanted on to them then it would prob look more balanced, but my other bike is modern frame with 1″1/8 set up,so i prefer this bike more. i got the aerospoke before i built up this bike and it fitted in better on this one then the other. this bike wasnt planned out from the begining,i just made it up as i go along. the bent fork this is because i was racing a roadie and i was on the other side of the road and a car did an illegal turn in front of me and i was going too fast to have stopped on anybike,i was fine the car was not. arrgg its not a commuter bike its not a posing bike, its just my bike that i go everywhere and do everything on,go racing, go to work ,go out drinking ,go to the shops whatever.so therfor it doesnt have to look any specific way.its not going for the classic look or the ‘look at me’ hipster look. hipsters dont ride track frames, they dont race, and ther nut to stem the whole way…..if you cant reply to this please do as i enjoy talking to you guys as i have 2bike friends and one of them is my brother and hes a roadie(differnt breed).:)
