Below is Sarah’s Christmas Bike from Boise Idaho.
Small Univega mixte frame stripped down to the bare metal on threw an off-white powder coat as the base. From there I built the wood fenders with 3 layers of alder hardwood to wrap the 27inch tires. Took some time to build a porter box and wooden handlebar. Running 48×18 for the fine Boise Idaho streets. All in all I think it turned out great.

Now you must get some Wooden Shoes to complete this unique picture. Very nice. Bars look difficult to make. Nice Job. Thanks Eduard

Sarah is a lucky girl. Nice job.
Did you steam the wood to bend in into fenders?
How did you shape shape the handlebar?

No steam required. Handlebars are made from 12 strips of thinly cut alder. Each layer is glued and then pushed into a curved form with lots of clamps.

Nice bike! I love the mixtie frames.
Also, I don’t know who made that nuts comment, but that wasn’t me.

Yeah CS, I saw that comment up there. Didn’t sound like your style at all. Imposter?

Wow very impressive. I’m building up a bike with the same frame right now, this makes me think I didn’t go far enough… thanks for the inspiration!
