An exercise in spare parts.
As most of you have probably come to realize, after building a few bikes you tend to end up with a whole lot of “things” left over from previous builds.. Rather than letting them gather dust/disposing of them i decided to search for a suitable/crappy bike to attach them to… Enter the Malvern Star ‘Mongrel’.

The leftover bikes always seem to end up being the most fun.

The low cost factor/disposabiliy aspect is very liberating. Project is becoming my go to ride for just that reason. Rides great and no worries. Trash one of the Bianchis, breaky heart. Trash the P,buid another.

I too appreciate this build. I’m doing one like this right now. Just need to find a crankset to finish. For this, the whole rainbow scheme is very unappealing. nothing a rattlecan cant fix.

i sort of like it the best in the last picture. i know thats the way it was before converting to singlespeed…i think the three color frame looks kinda funky (in a good way) but works looks-wise cuz all the other components are black or silver…but whatever its a beater bike, taste the rainbowwwww
