is there an actual seatpost or is the saddle glued directly to the frame? risers look super out of place on this bike. all the logos makes it look very nu-fred road bike-ish….but then risers with that look just look weird. some actual seatpost showing and some drops and i could see this looking much more visually cohesive.
Curious about the brand. The Micargi I found is a Chinese company with a huge warehouse/store in Industry, CA. Their web site advertises a specialty in beach crusiers; with no mention of any race-type bikes.
Let me tell you a little about Micargis. They are very popular over here in California around LA,and San Fernando valley. These bike are a joke. a ripp off. And mainly, a joke to track bikes. They sell these at swapmeets at very low prices, such as $250 to like $300 at max. They are affordable so all the posers or hipster how ever you guys call them on this website, get them to ride with their friends and pretend they are fucking bike messengers. ive tried them, they are shit, sold with those components as STOCK. with riser bars, rear and front brake and very very cheap components. They are all MICARGI production by the way.
Wow, tons of negativity here. I say, very cool that you love your bike. I think it is cool looking and, what matters more, you are getting out on it and enjoying life more as a result.
Man you guys are tough. So its a cheap Chinese knockoff bike. So its got risers. So you cant see the seat post. What I see here is potential for $300. I am a roadie. I ride a Felt Z85. And that thing is so light and smooth that I actually got weaker while I was riding it! I need to build a single speed road bike and this is what I am going to build it on. Don’t like the bars? I’m putting drop bars and aero brake levers on it. To many spacers? Nothing that an allen wrench and a hack saw cant take care of. No seat post showing? Seriously? It’s got a QR clamp… raise it up! Graphics are too busy? THEY’RE STICKERS… peel um off! Too shiny? Flat black spray paint is 96 cents at Walmart. When I am done with this bike, anybody up-nosed roadie snob that sneers at me is going to get smoked… and any hipster on their pastel colored fixie is gonna be so busy chuckling and sneering to notice their scarf getting caught in the chain (wish you had brakes now, huh?).
Seriously, if you are going to talk trash, know what you are talking about first. Tell us why this bike is crap. Did you own one? Did the frame snap in half while mashing it up a hill? What is it? Because all I can see is the one person with any real experience with this bike (the owner) loves it.

the geometry is funky, a fast bike geometry should be the reverse…. low front high rear. This one looks like a hybrid w track drop outs……..
