We are working on a non commercial project called Strömmen (in english “The Stream”), we are only building 50 bikes
and the small profit is donated to a local project for people with drug and alcohol related problems who works in a small
bicykle shop as a part of their struggling way to come back to the society.

Funny how this bike, while cool, has 656+ votes already?
Hmmmmmm?

Yes, loads of votes, it is nice.

I like it but it looks to much like a ghost bike to me. I’d feel really bad about riding that around town.
Also I really like the spoke wrapping on the back wheel, but wouldn’t that reduce the overall strength of the wheel?

Haven’t we all learned from Gabriel yet? All white is cheesy as hell!!!

True that jeriko… And how the hell did this guy get almost 700 votes in 1 month? That’s like 200 votes than the next highest rated bike. Something is fishy here?

Why is this fake bike still on this forum?
September 14th, 2009 @1:27 pm
This one is REALLY nice, what´s all this shit about Condor bikes?
Who cares that they used a pic from their website when the guy made the illustrations of his own version? ALL bikes has 2 wheels and a tri frame.

What exactly is “REALLY” nice about this bike? You do know what a ghost bike represents? Not to mention dis’n all the people who put their hard earned money, hours of labor, and creativity into a REAL bike.
Like the site says at the top of the page “Showcase YOUR beloved Fixed Gear or Single Speed bike.” “Your” bike, not pictures of some bike you think is cool or one you photoshopped in hopes of selling them. Weather it’s for a good cause or not, don’t just put up a fake picture and use it as some quasi advertising scheme.
Your right, ALL bikes have 2 wheels and a tri frame, so go do what we all did here and build one. If this guy can’t build a bike of his own, how is he going to teach others to build them?
October 20th, 2009 @3:21 pm
i don’t care what u guys say this bike is nice!
October 22nd, 2009 @11:49 pm
I totally agree! Keep up the good work, the BIG difference in this case is that the guys are building 50 bikes and donate the profit to charity projects!
November 21st, 2009 @5:18 pm
Agree. WTF!!! What is the problem? They are doing great, the BIG difference from us is that the guys are making 350 bikes and donates all the profit to a bike shop that is some kind of day nursing place for a bicyclerepairshop hosting people with drug related problems.
2zRescue: Do u have a small penis? Wtf is your problem?
December 2nd, 2009 @8:25 pm
stupid.
December 3rd, 2009 @7:05 pm
The big difference is that this is not even a bike that they actually built! are you people even reading the other comments. The bikes that they build could come out looking more like Gabe V’s pieces of crap bikes that litter this site.
It’s like me putting a picture of a Nissan Skyline on a site as my own race car when I really own a honda hatchback, if even that.
How would YOU like it if someone took the picture of YOUR bike that you worked hard on all summer and posted it as their own so that they could make a buck (charity or not, there is still money to be made)
I don’t know why the rating is going back up again after it was wiped the first time for some kind of “rating padding”. It should be taken down. I wouldn’t buy a bike from these dishonest a-holes.
December 3rd, 2009 @7:08 pm
In the short time it took to post my comment, 15 more people rated this bike and it jumped up a star or two..REALLY?? More suspicious activity if you ask me.

I hear you Kumai. That’s some bullshit. It takes time, effort, thought and work to produce a REAL quality bike.
December 3rd, 2009 @9:12 pm
+1 Kumai
Hey FixieTrondheim (and the others)if that is your name. My guess is it’s your fake bike that you put up, and hacked this system to keep your bike rating up. I don’t even have my own fixed gear bike posted yet here because I am still putting it together. I have been building for the last six months and have got some great ideas from many bikes here. I would never just put up a pic of some bike and say “Oh yea, I’m going to build one just like this one day.”
Before you start shit talking, you may want to know that I volunteer at a REAL bike co-op where we help people who can’t afford a bike, build a solid bike from old parts, and teach them how to work on and fix bikes. We have helped hundreds of people get a bike, and one homeless guy we helped, actually cried when he was done with his build, as it was the first bike he ever owned, and now has a part time job at a bike shop. Our co-op has many stories like this and we donate 100% of the profits back to the community, so sorry if i’m not impressed with a “SMALL profit” from 50 bikes being built. As a matter of fact I find it offensive that you are exploiting a program like that to sell some bikes!!!!
