Are we looking a one-piece cast frame? Is that correct? Interesting geometry. What are the assets of such a frame? Someone around here know anything? How about this frame as a single/fixed? Thoughts? I’m curious.

Crazy front wheel.

the main asset was the weight savings of using magnesium. However in the real world this was minimal because the additional material needed for strength offset the weight savings. At least the early ones developed a rep as crackers, though this one seems to have held together OK. Usual caveats re: fixed that any other conversion has but NO Dremel on the dropouts as they may explode when grinding. nicely done and different, enjoy

Mister Kirk has put all his time and money in this frame. The TVM raceteam used this frame in the tour de france in I believe 1986. The frame is stiff and the whole bike is +/- 8kg. All the used parts of this bike are from the 80′s ( except the backwheel and lever).

why dont you fix it?

The plan was to build it fixed and I did that at first. But that didn’t work well with the vertical dropout and chain tensioner. I got a half link now for my 3/32″ chain ( was not easy to find in the Netherlands)hopefully i can now get the chain tansion right and have the possibility to ride it fixed.
