This my Custom Mercier put together from top to bottom to handle the busy, sketchy, pothole full streets of the city of Los Angeles. Her name is “Silver Haze” I bought the frame of craigslist for $170 mint condition. Every other part was picked and put together by me to suit my style of riding. With this set up I have done 50+ mile rides with no issues what so ever, went through glass, dirt, rocks. pot holes, you name it. Nothing ever has bent or broken. My tire selection is the best combo I’ve ever ran on my Mercier. No Flats at all, I love it. She handles very light, turns like a double sharp blade, and it fits me like a glove. I don’t own a car, I commute everywhere on my bike

don’see the point of the small front wheel but I guess that is the point eh? That nasty mess on the top tube looks ten times worse than anything it is protection from. If you are looking for the funny bike look those sissy bars ruin it.very confused style or lack of.

Pedal strike must be a complete bitch on that thing if you actually ride it.

Was the beer any good?

If you lower the front by adding a smaller wheel and use risers, why not keep a normal 700c wheel and put drops on it? It’ll probably end up on the same height anyway

@acrid that’s what I was thinking. Get shorter cranks, champ. And a 700 front will lift the bottom bracket a bit higher. You only need to strike once to have the feeling haunt you through every corner.

That’s exactly what my thought was scrod

Looks good aside from the bars, saddle, reflector/light, forks, and front wheel.

Crank arms do look long. And paired with Sylvan Touring pedals? Ouch. Yeah I hope you don’t get thrown. I got bucked off big time a while back. But I was really pushing it and a little beered. I’d look at some new pedals with a shorter spindle.

I’d be fine if you just got a wheel that was the same size for the front and then got rid of that stuff on the top tube.
