if the wheels matched id love this… reminds me of a beach cruiser. The Barry Mcgee saddle is so tight! Very cool in my opinion!

I think its pretty cool, and the hot rods in the background are even cooler. Dont worry baz, if its different they hate it. If they didnt make it themselves they hate it. Alot of people here have hating issues and spend there day waiting for an update so they can say how much they hate the next 5 bikes posted.

The older auto color maroon and black with the new and trendy goes well. Stylin cruzzzer!

I can appreciate the imagination and craftsmanship involved in making it, but its not my cup of tea.

Again, this is one of those bikes that I would love to take for a test-drive to see what its all about. I love the front wheel and wish the rear wheel were of the same brand. The cockpit is kind of a mess but that frame! I, for one, think its interesting. The distribution of weight away from the bottom bracket is curious. The rear fork and its lowered point-of-contact with the down tube is of interest to me as well. What is it like pumping hard on an uphill; swinging left and right? This is a fun thing to look at and think about and why I come to these pages.

russellr,I don’t see anyone hating this, only noting the art aspect seems to over rule function. This group favors function over form but can still enjoy the skill building things like this. Like the hot rods in the background it looks cool but I doubt it rides well. But I guess you think it’s tops so what do we all know. Again-not hate, only wrong crowd.

Interestng frame. I wonder how strong it is. I dig it in a way…but think I’d like it more if the top tube continued on that same curve and became the seat stays.

I think it’s cool. I think it was built to be different and fun to cruz town on. I would like to see the rear wheel matched to the current front. As long as its not your only bike, it would be great to have.

From a purely functional standpoint I am wondering about a few things:
1. How strong is the construction of the drops? There is potentially a lot of force on the rear axle, classic frames have quite a bit of metal there to keep it in place. Here, only a little prong needs to break and the axle is loose.
2. What advantage does this downtube construction have? If anything it seems to add weight and make the whole less stiff. To me it looks like an attempt just to give it a dramatic look, but nothing else.
Maybe I’m misunderstanding to construction, I’d love to hear what design considerations were at play.

Cool frame design, wrong colors. Follow the Pops design – all black, brooks, then white walls for a hot rod look.

the truth is, you have to ride this with a 650 in the front as it would (to my naked and untrained eye) probably lessen the stress on the downtube.
Weld an extra curved tube (or even better, 2) from the bb area following the chainstays joining the mid downtube in a beautiful curve. Leave the blade out sticking of course.
I love it but i cant help to wonder about the sturdiness of it.
