Hello everybody,
My name is Gabriel Vereczkei, I live in Media, PA., which is about 20 minutes south of Philadelphia. I have been building bikes for about 3 years, mostly single speed conversions, recently started converting and building fixed gear bikes. This is a 58cm SCHWINN WORLD SPORT frame, SAKAE stem, SAKAE OLYMPIC handlebar and SAKAE seat post. Brand new black CINELLI GEL CORK handlebar tape. Brand new black chain. Brand new black VETTA racing saddle, SUGINO crank and chain-ring, silver MKS pedals. Brand new black 700c WEINMANN DP 18 rims, black 14g DT SWISS spokes and black FORMULA sealed bearings bolt-on flip-flop rear hub and bolt-on front hub. Brand new black 700c BONTRAGER tires and BONTRAGE tubes. I hope you like it. I hope to build and convert a lot more in the coming years. If you want to know more about this particular bike or if you wish to send me an email, send it to gabrielvereczkei@yahoo.com. Thank you.

I thought, “hey at least this one has brakes,” and then I realized they’re mounted on powder coated wheels.

So what is wrong with having brakes on powder coated wheels wise guy?? I have been riding mine for years and there is no difference between riding a powder coated wheel or a machined wheel with brakes — in fact I love my bike with black powder coated wheels. Another idiot bicycle professional, I am getting sick of this site!!!

Additional thoughts to “Professors Luftmensh & Sloman”: You great minds seem to think alike. Brakes are not mounted on the wheels. (This makes me wonder how many bikes the both of you have built before.) They are mounted on the front fork on the rear seat stays connecting rod.
So, tell us what is wrong with having brakes on powder coated wheels anyway. I have been riding mine for years and there is no difference between riding a powder coated wheel or a machined wheel with brakes.
I really, really like this bike, guys.
Somehow I have a feeling this Gabe dude could overlook your skeptical remark(s). I see that he’s got ~40 really great bikes on this site.

This douche bag has 28 bikes for sale on MyFixedGear, please remove him, he is polluting the site with his commerce..
Copy and paste this into Google to see exactly how many he has:

Why can’t you use eBay and leave this site to people into bikes?

I bought a used Schwinn WorldSport 12 -Speed about a year ago. I paid $175.00 for it. I can’t imagine doing long rides and downhills on a fixie. You people must be masochists.

Breaks still work on powder coated wheels… not ideal but they still work. Those may be anodized and not powder anyhow which is fine with breaks. Hate Gabe all you want, dude still has a lot of nice stuff/parts(not saying he puts them together well) and at least hes building.
