Ghetto brake. No tape. No clips. Dyslexic bb. Still on life support. Wheels look sharp, if a bit small.

There’s always got to be a critic in the page. How about some credit, at least it did not go in the trash. Plus I’m having fun with it for less than what it would cost to build a top doller fixie out there and built in less than full day… Thanks for the new name for it bro!! “Ghetto Fix” and not drug related!!! LoL

At least he has bar ends.

Sure, it may have faults but as the title implies, this bike may have been found in the trash and that’s making pretty good use of an otherwise discarded bike.

And a discarded Nishiki at that. Faults are all personal and easily fixed. Great save.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Some people hide behind there computers to talk negative about others. Who knows, he may not even own a fixie for that reason he talk this way.. Plus in my posting in the bike, I for one never said it was done being the bike was just built in less that a full days work… I bet if I where to give this bike to the persons that made the first comment he would take in a heart beat.. Goes to show how people are.. So sad!!!

Love the bare bones effect. Nice color to go with the aluminum steel mix. Maybe Tioga Spyder or Cinelli Unicaniter?

Simple is better, that’s just me. But I like it all..

I like, stop the hate…
September 5th, 2011 @7:48 pm
nice.now all you need is some tape and straps.
September 5th, 2011 @8:50 pm
Hey, I like it too. I just think it needs tape, straps and a maybe a more useful brake placement. No hate.
September 5th, 2011 @9:44 pm
I have the tape, the straps and brakes but like mentioned before, it’s all been put together in such a short period of time. I know this bike has so much potential with better parts.

I apologize on how I came off on someone that bashes on me, especialy me being a nubie on the board. Suggestion is one thing but bashing is another or even credit is better.. I have no hate on others that try, so I’m willing to take helpfull ideas that want to voice them.. Thanks to those with positive feed back..

no worries playa, all is forgiven.

Just like the sport like everyone here. It’s not my first fixie nore my last. Just did this one to see how it would turn out, even with the leftover pile of parts..

My favorite bikes are the ones I put together over time by using parts from here and there. I get them on the road as quick as I can and then enjoy a slow upgrade over time when a little extra cash shows up. They may not be the best but they have more value to me. Every part has a story.

Well put Broom Wagon, well put!!!

not there, yet – awful seat, needs a bar tape, foot retention, etc. Great you saved the orig paint, but I don’t think the blue tires match very well

Box Bikes. Bikes that come together from years of castoffs. Some turn out good, others remind you why that part is in the box.Remember Huret deraillers? AAGGHH!!.

Great build considering. Looks better than some with hanging price tags.
