how is a flip flop"literally a single speed?"heres the concept-one side fixed, the other freewheel.A second brake can be a useful thing in a crowded place. Some people think it adds to the balanced look on the bars.certainly ignorant trend is not the case.what a nice classy frame, love that front wheel.enjoy

Man, those are some old ross logos. I like the R engraved into the lug on the head tube. The wheels look a little odd b/c they're so much newer than the bike, but still looks like a great ride.

This sure is a bute! Enjoy ever mile you put on it.

BTW Luft, another point to owning a fixed gear is for training and smoothing out one's pedal rotation for the most efficient pedal stroke. On a Rail to Trail here in Atlanta children pop out from everywhere, so all the brakes possible are necessary. Some people actually ride their bikes instead of just looking at them...

What's the point of owning a fixed gear if you have a rear brake? It's basically a single speed you handbrake with except you can't coast. And if it's a flip flop then it's literally a single speed. This ignorant trend is as bad as white deep vs.
