VERY cool. What kind of frame is that? Looks like a well thought out and executed conversion.

i dont like the cockpit, cranks or pedals, but i really like everything else. nice frame, nice saddle, looks good on the frame, like the wheels.
needs one more touch of red somewhere.
just being nit picky. overall its a nice build.

Did you buy the same Dektra bike from toys r us?
I paid $75 bucks for mine how about you?
Nice paint job.. too bad your 1 campy rim cost more than the frame!

The term “polishing a turd” comes to mind.

but got to admit it gets shinier every time.give him props for result, not start.this frame was probably welded by the same Chinese robot as the “name” alum.bargains.nice bits added to good sturdy frame, sounds like fixed rule #1.No need to spend everything.A bit here and there still gets it done.and those wheels are so sexy.

Yes I still ride my bike everyday for at least 10 miles to downtown Portland and back. You can really tell the diff from steel and aluminum frames. Quality is key! Im not rich but I need to spend $$ on the important stuff like brakes, wheels, my stock headset is grinding itself thin. My tech9 spokes are crunching like crazy and the stock seat/post have to be replaced. Did i mention the 3 lb fork? My props to this guy for changing out everything. Im a bit pissed with this company “Dektra” though the frame was assembled in america not built here as the stickers lied! Very cheap stamped/punched metal components. Lets not even talk about the shabby serial number on the B.B. looks like a one armed factory worker put it on with a nail and a brick! Edward you know what im talking about. Its good to see what my bike might become. In the mean time in saving up for a Steel road frame at City-Bikes in PDX.

Dude if you are in Portland, check out Tyson Hart’s shop at Civilian. He makes everything in Portland, one at a time.

some of these cheap aluminum frames will be with us for a while.while heavy for aluminum they are strong.cheap components don’t really matter on a fixed conversion.Toys-r-us or dumpster find if it builds up good, hooray.
