Conversion from an old Raleigh found dumped in a ditch. The frame, cottered bottom bracket, cottered crankset and headset are original. The stem is an old Cinelli a friend took off a bike from the 90′s. New (old stock)3TTT Grand Prix bars, new (old stock) forks, new (old stock) Raleigh headtube badge, new Foffa Bikes classic track wheelset with low profile rims, new Brooks B17 saddle.

Match bar wrap to saddle. Paint & parts are nice choice.

Geez, you guys don’t miss a thing hey. Thanks for the comments though. Looks like I’m gonna have to sort that bar tape out. I actually did run out. I only had one roll available as I used the other roll on some bullhorn bars when deciding which ones to go with. I plan to put Brooks leather bar tape on the bike to match the saddle. That stuff’s expenisve though so this’ll have to do until Christmas!

conversion looks nice, but I’d be worried a bike that taco-ed might also have a bent frame and/or forks

Yes, except it says the forks are new (old stock),

And it is a steel frame, easy enough to check. Alum would be worrisome.

Yeah, the forks are new. The ones on the original bike looked fine but they had narrow (90mm) spacing. Before spraying the frame I took it back to the naked steel and gave it a good check for any faults. The frame is good and true.

Really beautiful! What I love about (re)building bikes is the individuality that goes into all the work. One of the few areas in life where your creativity is seen, appreciated and is even functional. Super!

I think this bike is a good omen . If I were you , I would keep it , never sell it . It will never give you problems , and just might save your life one day..
