early 1990′s mongoose with a 80′s feel revamp. Still needs a new seat but it’s getting close. I know it is a single spped and not a fixie but still thought I would share.

Grunge Gloss Red, or Kashimax Aero old school Red, imho.

Who are these wankers rating quality bikes so low? This is well thought out, balanced and generally pretty awesome. That Raliegh Sun at a 6? Boring as fark, but rated higher. I reckon instead of the anonymous star system, we just say in our comment what we rate it. For the record, I’m giving this an 8. ********

For the record this is my wifes bike, she has had it for the last 15+years and it is still riding it. I posted it because not all single speeds need to be road bikes that come with clips and tight pants. Sometimes it’s nice to feel like a kid again and a good old 24 will do that. Thanks for those of you who left the great comments. And for the haters out there, instead of trying to bring others down, go for a ride and try to smile.

It looks great, but I would change the seat and put the break where it belongs… THE FRONT!

I had those blue tires in ’88. +1 to red plastic saddle, kashimax or other. And the brake on a ss is better on the back if you ask me. Otherwise it’s endo city on this bmx. Gotta skid.

yeah a new seat is on the way, I re-did the bike as a suprise for my wife, she just requested red, white, and blue to keep it retro. I wanted to wait on the seat so that she could pick out what she wants. I will post some pics with the new seat when it arrives, also I just put on a matching matt finished blue neck that looks awesome. This upgrad was fun, easy, and priced right. Thanks for all the props, it does make you feel like a kid again, you may even say “rad”.

I thought about getting some 24 tuffs for this bike but decided to stick with the original rims. I also have a fixie/s.s that I posted here, Mr.B is the bikes name. Its not totally finished. I am still working out the brake but if you did this bikes style you may also dig it.
