Thanks for the positive comments guys I was somewhat expecting it to get grilled! Its my commuter and I bought it in original spec (I would imagine) and slowly done little bits and pieces to it.
@ Florian – yes I have to say the gearing is a little too masculine even with a mostly flat commute!
@ Nick O – unfortunately I can’t convert to fixed as verical dropouts (i’ve been told there’s no way round) so its singlespeed so sort of need that back brake.
@ T-Bone – sorry guys I’m a little new to all this still – what are cages? pedal cages? if so my thoughts exactly and are on my to do list…
I love the bike! It seems like its got the right ammount of flair without being over the top… no cages and a back brake makes me think its a SS. Ride the hell out of it and have fun… but loose the saddle tassel.
aesthetically this bike is “meh” to me…
its not ugly but it could look better with some changes.
the brown grips and saddle seem off on this bike. at least combined with the pink tire. im not hating the pink tire though, kind of goes well with the colors on the frame.
Thanks for the comments, I was somewhat expecting it to get hated considering how much i’m drooling over every other bike on here! I bought the bike a couple of years back minus a few parts and positive a few gears. Its currently single speed but now want to go fixed however I seem to hear ‘can’t go fixed with vertical dropouts’ a lot. I’m reckoning all I need is a magic gear, It’s in a magic gear now so same setup with fixed cog would work fine, I think?!
@ Florian yep, if a little too masculine! currently 52 16 think I want to try a 42t chainring.

A little girly with that front tire but I love the originality. I say lose the back brake and go with cages.

I rock pink stelvios on my ’87 dale and everyone stays outta my way. Love that oldskool frame, and ditto to cages. Looks like a fun ride. Kudos.

Cages indeed, cool oldschool frame. Weird stickering on the top tube though.. Gear ratio looks very masculine, makes up for the front tire.
