the first thing i saw, carbon. then a nice seat to go along with it and the seatpost. i looked down and saw the cranks.. not bad. then i saw the B43’s, shame.
Modern Art ! Yes I like it , but I am a nobody. The bars look OK to me if you line it up with the saddle and the reach etc. it looks like you are at the same position as with a drop. i.e. equal equal. Thanks for no decals to advertise which would take away from the nice lines of this or anyother work of Art.
Modern art is right. I’m a steel steed kinda guy. But CF is cool too in it’s own way. I’d rather see drops on this spaceship…but hey whatever you like. As far as the rims…I kinda think a tall profile is best next to those wide tubes. Hey…are the martian women pretty?
yeah, just personal opinion, but that frame should be used for track only. It is not meant for the road, so if you plan to do some track racing get some drops and proper wheels on that thing. Otherwise sweet bike.
thanks guys for all the love hahaha !!! i want to put some black track bars with purple grips so it can be offical but i need to save some money haha !!
please please please what is that frame called !! i love it.
BUT the b43 are too heavy you should have gone for H and sons rims. and your pedals need sorting out lookes like plastic clips and pedals to me,easliy sorted
Hmmmm?
Putting risers on it means your probably not using it on a track, and not sure how well the carbon will hold up under the stress as an urban fixie? Luftmensh, sorry this is not a track frame, you can see the braze on spot for the front derailleur, and Arfer if you type “carbon frame” into an ebay search you’ll find a ton of these frames. It’s a shame cuz this frame would make an awesome TT or road bike.
2z—you’re right, it’s not a track frame. Its so obviously a grocery getter, I guess I just had a hard time picturing this cruising at 9mph through the suburbs with a basket full of tulips. But when you’re right you’re right. I stand corrected.
This looks fast and Track style to my amateur eye. I can’t visualize this with a derailer. But now all derailers look weird and excessive to me after riding fixed for a short time and never really using the overlaping gearing of a 10 or 18 speed or even the 3 speed hubs . I prefer the vintage steel road bikes for my biking style but carbon is interesting. How much methyl metacrylate is mixed with the carbon fiber? I have corian counters from the 70’s and was surprised how much plastic is in there and it burns. Thanks
Most weekend warriors don’t need carbon fiber bikes, let alone any commuter. It’s just a waste of money. For the amount you spent on this bike you could have bought a number of equally awesome steel or aluminum bikes that will end up running better and lasting longer for commuting. Also, riser bars on this frame is like wearing sandals with a business suit.
Sorry guys… This is one of those bikes I would LOVE to take for a test spin. Those stiff wheels on that super lightweight frame set up as a casual street bomber? Dang! Frankly it looks like it might be a whole hell of a lot of fun. A real whip! Yes, the frame might crack in a month… or even sooner… the geometry might not work for everyone but I applaud a worthy experiment. This site should celebrate these attempts. You guys are leaning too conservative on this one. The only thing I don’t like has to do with taste. The purple! Not a Batman fan.

Bullhorns would look pretty sick. Yeah it’s a track frame with hipster wheels, he does what he wants.

Gabriel sell the white Raleigh Record to raise funds for this carbon job. Thanks and do you still have the overpainted Raleigh?
