I have been a long stalker of this forum and some personalities certainly stick out!

Luftmensh, I don't know you personally, but please, you might know some stuff about bikes, and maybe you even talk a good game, but you have just proved how little you know about riding fixed, the benefits of said riding and you clearly don't understand that Kumai clearly knows what he is talking about. Stop being such a keyboard warrior and ride some different types of bikes.

The bike above is a single-speed mountain bike, which is fucking obvious from the photo, and its a great and high spec build at that. It is clearly not meant to be raced around the streets, in the same vein that the fixed road/track bikes many of us ride aren't meant to be ridden down a mountain.

Luftmensh, find about what you are talking about, and read the posts submitted by "dovitsky" and "kumai" and 'leave the streets' to people that know what they are on about.

Tirade over, and apologies, your probably a nice guy, but your a twat to a lot of people.

Love the photos ng, hope your all well!

dear the general ignorant community of my fixed gear, riding a fixed gear mountain bike is great way to train for a race or just have fun. Have any of you ever road one before?? hmmm. Go give it a try. It increases stamina, and come time to ride a bike with a cassette, it seems like a breeze.

and to Luft, "Get yourself a 29er and leave the streets to the big boys." that is the dumbest thing I think I have ever heard, besides all your other comments. I would like to see you ride a ride a fixed gear MTB. Im sorry riding a fixie in the streets doesn't even compare to riding one on a trail, if you do that, then you are a "big boy"

If the bike is a fixed gear, which you are riding on the trail, two brakes is complete necessary!

ok, have a nice day, and remember, before you open your mouth, make sure you have some clue what your talking about...Luft.....

And basically pointless. Who puts disc brakes on a fixed gear anyway? Man up. A front rim brake is one thing. Double brakes is another. But disc? Get yourself a 29er and leave the streets to the big boys.
