yeah, don’t post your bike until it’s relatively finished…or, at least, ridable (doesn’t even have a chain on it). Fail (and while you’re at it, get a flash)

raise that saddle up. put the stem down a little. Nice Frame.

its a start. add a chain and foot retention.replace crankset,cables/levers and bartape. adjust stem and seatpost and finally, take a better photo devoid of furniture or household appliances.

I would keep as much of the original parts as possible, the drops and cranks/chainring for example. They look much cooler than anu new part you can throw on that frame.

Listen to K-dregg. Homeboy be prechin’ gospel. Find a saddle that matches the grip tape.

She’s already looking great. Throw a white saddle on and you’re practically there.

yeah i’m with you all on keeping original parts, but i would at least remove the outer chain ring. i’m pretty sure this is the same peugeot i got for my next build.haven’t had the time or money to do anything yet so it will be cool to see how yours progresses

I dont think i can keep the original crank on there unless i use the 52 tooth wheel and i dont want it geared that high. The arms are connected to the outer wheel so i would have to do some butchering to get just the rear chain ring. Im just keeping all original parts in a box. Finally got my cog in the mail yesterday so i have a chain on now and i put a black selle san marco saddle on too. I dont like the tan bar tape so im gonna swap it out when i figure what i want. Im still contemplating some bullhorns. Thanks for the opinions.

seems there is a new wes, therefore i will change my name. Greetings wes.
Sram Omniums are a great choice for a crankset. But to keep the vintage vibe, I would suggest Sugino 75′s or Dura Ace Track.
Bullhorns are yes, though I hope you mean pursuits (i.e. Nitto RB021). Track drops also have a clean look to them.

ya,hope it’s not french threads but it looks 80s ish so you may luck out. they switched over to English BBs by then(not Raleigh TG). Or maybe you can just switch arms if you can save the loose ball BB.Why I don’t know. They are usually knackered or at least need freshened.

Hey other Wes, I was thinking about suginos too but i found a guy getting rid of the omniums cheap on CL. And yeah sloman its an 86 iseran with the carbolite tubing. Its an english BB
