not bad. but make it your own! look around and find the pieces and parts and colors that just jump at you! bikes are as much fun to customize as they are to ride!

Yes, please do something. Anything.

yep, carbon fork and something different for a front brake.i’m thinking u-brake but—i kind of enjoy brakeless.total concentration.long term want to lose the blue and polish the aluminum frame.you the experts, suggestions?

While I can appreciate in theory the whole brakeless/total concentration concept. No amount of concentration will make you immune to the idiot driver that pulls out right in front of you. Just because you have a brake doesn’t mean you have to use it all the time. “Emergency” brake.

point well taken.I have an OS brake ordered.Idiot drivers, dogs and kids are facts of life. But brakeless around the ‘hood is very Zen like and fresh, even for us FOG’s(fat old guys).Cycling was getting stale, flatlands and no MTBing so the novelty is cool for a while.

Did you have any close calls while brakeless Sloman ? I had both front and rear brakes while a newbie . Now only front on two bikes but chromed steel is quite frictionless when wet with 30 year old pads, if dry it’s ok but a little drizzle and it fades away.

only the thoughts of what if.like what if the chain dropped, what if that car turned in front of me,what if that dog ran out,ect-yada,yada.Twenty five years ago I was fearless but don’t heal as fast now. Some rides I don’t even use the brake, even single speed, but it’s comforting to know it’s there.

I agree, thinking what if is good defensive brainwork, much better than talking on the phone or stroking the weasal.

Yeah brakeless is just plain stupid. That zen feeling is quickly replaced with fear and adrenaline. Too many close calls. I’d be dead in minutes in my neighborhood, thousands of cars and hills from the depths of Hell.

is stroking the weasel like feeling the ferret?kids nowdays. We cradeled the cougette.

Sounds a bit like massaging the marrow to me.
Simple looking bike here, but needed the work to make it yours. I like the frame colour though

Am I surrounded by veggie bikers? This whole courgette thing is getting out of hand. MJ is grinning fit to bust and talking abouy choking his chorizo. More like a frigging bratwurst if you asked me. Only guy I know that needs 3 bike clips. Bastard!!!

P.S. Slo get a brake. Don’t want to lose you now I’ve found you.
May 15th, 2010 @4:46 am
not to worry,I always carry several cougette in case of emergency.

Looks like a long reach for those Track drops. Do you also use road drops ? less drop I think and curve up top starts sooner with the track.
June 10th, 2010 @4:24 am
switched to modern drops,aluminum(scary lite).much better.see Mongrel3.cheers
