If I were you, I’d waste no time replacing that stem with a quill stem and I’d move the saddle forward a couple inches because it’s a little awkward placed that far back. A few dollars, a couple of minutes on craigslist, and an allen wrench would make a nice difference on your build. Cheers!
I think he meant a street quill instead of a capped MTB type. Your friend has some nice pieces,hit him up for a polished level stem(or-gasp! visit your LBS).enjoy

The stem is OK. Needs bar tape and plugs, though. Maybe powder blue like the tires.
