Nice bike, (love the panasonic) and the leather looks all worn in and comfy.
Though I’m not really a fan of white tires, and with the black seat post, the front and back look like two different bikes (which maybe you were going for).
But what is the deal with the stitches?.. Nitrous?
Anyways, nice job

Thanks,
Black seat post was on the bike at that time, i didn’t had any other when the photo was taken. And i could not wait for the one i was really aiming for, i just have to ride
The tire at the back its the black thing at the moment. And the switches are something that i am working on they should be light up soon+it’s a lot of fun just clicking… special if u have a bullhorn
Thanks again

Cool bike. IMO It’s the little details and unique combinations of components, colors etc. that make some bikes stand out above the rest. No doubt that a lot of the top-rated bikes here are excellent bikes. But it’s the little personal touches that can give a bike a sense of personality while others come off as a bit sterile.

SICK rims! are those the velocity image teak wood rims? they look great…!
December 10th, 2009 @1:13 pm
@ Kubusya. No way. Not overdone at all. Looks great. I like personal touches that don’t scream out “hey look at me”, but make a lasting impression once you DO notice them.

@ nicpas,
yes, you are right… Velocity teek wood-deep V (back), (front) Velocity white Aerohead.

Yes, lots of character. It looks like a couple dancing with the white frt. and brown rear. A very self-confident bike. I like it. Thanks Eduard

wow that’s awesome. the custom stitching and power button bar ends were fantastic little touches. this isn’t over done at all. and i quite frankly love white tires except of course for how dirty they’ll become. i can’t find anything wrong with this except for the missing brake. cheers.

Art. Bikes can be SO stylish sometimes. Wouldn’t be ruined by putting a brake on it for the road.
April 14th, 2010 @8:15 am
Hey, I just want to know where you found switches that would fit into the ends of your handlebars like that. I am looking into doing that to my bike, and actually routing them to a headlight that is functional…….Thanks…..

this belongs in the top ten

She’s a Beaut. Never been a huge fan of serious styling or perfect color coordination.. esp. if its a very expensive vintage disguise.. I feel like a lot of bikes on this site are a show room quality that we would be afraid to take out on wet pavement and slide around.. But they are damn nice to look at. As we know, once you touch a component and it looks great, you’re addicted and whether you’re budgeting, draining your account, or ladeling out of a trust fund, you can’t stop until it looks perfect. Gorgeous build – wish i had one like it.. I need to move from nyc to amsterdam where i would be doing more than just a communte on my bike.. a few projects to keep in the garage and take out on sundays like an old sports car collection.. Inspiring. Sexy bars and saddle too!

So true. Thank you f.i.c.

Yes , this bike has a lot of great character and looks used and friendly. I still think of radios when I see Panasonic label. And people may think of North Carolina when they see Raleigh. I take off most labeling for that reason. The Marathon Raleigh is painted on the frame not a decal and made in Taiwan and a good job, no wonder Nottingham gave it up.

October 13th, 2010 @1:32 pm
wish I could find me a decent panasonic
October 13th, 2010 @2:10 pm
Russelr,if you do,I’ll be glad to tell you how to build it right to very high standards.
October 13th, 2010 @5:26 pm
Russel, play it safe and get a Bianchi, go with wrapped drops, front brake, spoked wheels which match and Sloman will love it. Stickers not too sure. foot retention and tight chain not colored. enjoy and ride safe.

@metalmonkee&iwe … black seatpost is from way back. Got a new one, Nitto Crystal fellow look at the one in the middle. Thanx
November 21st, 2010 @5:54 am
I gona change this wheel with set Mavic Open sport rims (sliver) 36h+Shimano Dura Ace HB-7600 36h+sapim spokes. All ready got Euro-Asia Imports Super Star Cog. That thing goes so well with Izumi-V chain. They make sweetest sound ever … silence. Just tyres&pavement.
And then this will be it for now, or so i think?! I now its never over…
Thank you guys…
p.s. got new project near end …
