I found this old bike at a garage sale. It looked like it could be a pretty neat bike with a little effort. I liked the paint job, the vintage saddle and pedals. It already had an old Raleigh flip/flop hub, so that was like the sign I should buy it and convert it to a fixed gear…it was fun work.

Hoping my garage sale adventures do the same…Nice find!

Interesting build. I’d consider switching out the crank arms at some point. I don’t really trust cotter cranks on a fixed wheel. Also your seat post clamp is backwards.

Nice! High flange Hubs. Classic lines & saddle. Black straps and move the saddle back. .00 steel wool on the chrome.

Sweet find! Fixing the saddle/seatpost is my only suggestion.
And NEVER use steel wool on chrome.

That’s a nice gold. Some dark brown leather bar wrap would look good.

backwards seatpost and saddle really far up looks really goofy.
otherwise a cool build.

Great find! I like the paint color. Raise the seat up and move it back; it will look much better( as long as it fits you). Everytime I pass a yard sale I try and look for that once in a life time find. Never happens.
