My daily commuter; 17.5km each way. 2004 Kona Unit converted to fixed, 48/17 drive, 700c wheels. I’ve chopped the handlebars to 570mm since taking these pictures.

Nice looking, keep chopping 570 mm. is still a lot of bar. Looks like the brake goes down thru the headtube. (almost bar spin able )

disc is a great choice for commuting.Set it,forget it,all weather useable.don’t chop those bars too far.enjoy

Details! Would love the details. Looking to set up something similiar for my 12 mile / 20 km commute to work. Especially interested in the cable routing thru the head tube.
