First fixie build on the very cheap
Frame and fork: Repco Monaco 10spd Road bike (80s?) Lugged Steel – Made in Australia. Original paint, decals and rust
Stem, seatpost and brakes: Stock. Yes it has brakes, need them to not die.
Handlebars: Stock “Champion” Road Bars
Wheels: Cheapo deep v’s
Hubs: Quanta
Cranks: Lasco
Chain: ?
Saddle: Vader
Looking to upgrade the drivetrain and wheels when I get the dosh. Cant seem to find a good quality lightweight wheel of the same style as these…any suggestions? In the meantime re-wrapping the bars and a new saddle are on the cards…if anyone has any suggestions on saddle and wrapping style/colour let me know. But Im sure I wont need to ask.

nice the way it is,save the cash for a track style build. This is a great conversion as it sits so save and enjoy.

would have went with a silver chain but its pretty, pretty good. sweet frame, even though the clearances are large enough for a mac truck.

I like it..!
If I would upgrade anything it would be the tires to some fatter black ones to fill out the frame a bit, other than that leave it as it is..
