Wow! Nice! This bike is awesome. Is this the original paint job? I love the chrome stays, lugs and fork. I’d be interested to know a bit more about the bike.

pardon if my newb is showing, but what is so special about this build?
is it the frame? it does look very high quality…are kinfolk some sort of legendary frames i should know about?
May 2nd, 2010 @12:56 pm
quality is what’s special about it.
plus…

Yeah ill you haven’t seen enough of the overdone, flashy, carbon fiber, color coordinated, old frame ruined builds. It’s simple, classic, chrome and leather, track oriented, and an original frame I’ve never seen before. That’s why it’s so special. If you can’t see that then you’re looking for the wrong thing. Cheers.

lol thanks for that little rib at the end jerk ;p
like i said i knew it was quality and i definitely think its a very nice build…its just its the highest rated bike on here and there’s a few i would personally rate higher and was wondering if it there was something special about the frame…which apparently there is, its hand built in japan.

Illdthedj. you are picking up fast / learning fast. If you watch this bike after 51 more votes it will settle in lower. Not sure but nothing stays over 7 for long. Most of the action is between 6.5 and 6.8 People can vote more than once after a time, also not sure why. 30 days ? some comments reflect the nature of the beast, pit bull or cocker spaniel type.

i think im a malamute lol
i dunno i gave it an 8. i really like the build dont get me wrong but there are others i like much more, and obviously everyone’s opinions are different and subjective…
May 2nd, 2010 @4:54 pm
personally w/ a frame this sick i feel like you don’t need to go wild w/ it.
May 2nd, 2010 @7:05 pm
Definitely. Understated is the best way to go.
May 3rd, 2010 @10:58 am
Agreed. Understated if done well is so much more tasteful and captivating. Forget the flash, show off bikes you can see from a block away…just more billboards. Give me a “sleeper” with beautiful, classic elements dripping with timelessness. A build like this, once you notice it pulls you in and makes you admire all the subtle details of it’s composition and flies above the radar of the “fadster”, “gone tomorrow” world. A simple, elegant and powerful machine.

Well said.

Looks like less than 100 cm. wheelbase and the toe may snag the wheel when turning too sharply. The rear tire clearance looks like mere millimeters.
May 5th, 2010 @5:14 pm
OK so it is built by hand, so is my Raleigh Twenty 1973. Not too many Robots in Nottingham, England in the 70′s
May 6th, 2010 @6:57 pm
The way the hand is positioned in the first picture makes the bike look like a miniature.
May 6th, 2010 @7:37 pm
It looks like the hand of god. Was that da vinci’s?
May 6th, 2010 @10:15 pm

May 9th, 2010 @6:34 pm
mmmmmmmmm………. There are very few bikes I would rather have than my own, and I’m pretty sure this is one of them. That frame is incredible.
May 9th, 2010 @7:47 pm
