Sounds wonderful, and is Orion on board with Audrey. I bet he is too and a watch dog on guard. Good work.

Thanks guys! Audrey was born Dec. 11th. She's a total doll and we're both completely in love with her! I know it's a ways off but we're looking forward to our first family ride. Yeah, Wood...I was gonna do a freewheel when I change this up just because I've pedal struck on it a few times. The roads here in San Diego are brutal. All kinds of holes, cracks and uneven joints. I think they're the worst I've ever seen. Anyway I just want to try to eliminate any chance of a crash with her in tow.

Ryan, it's so true. As they say...the first 5 years are some of the most important in their development. I've been showing her a lot of artwork and playing lots of music for her. And of course showing her the bikes. It's amazing to see her look at art....she literally stares at it. And to give due credit...Amy has been so tough....Sleep deprived and still exclusively breast feeding. She just finally got back on her bike the other day for the first time in 4 or 5 months. She stuck baby's bottle in my hand and went out for a ride. Cheers, fellas.

@NG congrats bro,I have 4 kids and lov em heaps but the best time was between being born to around 6yrs(the innocence years),and is the best time to show them heaps, people told me to stop showing my kids heaps of stuff at a young age as thay dont know/remember whats going on,fuuey to that cos thay do learn heaps at such a young age,the brain is a spounge it frives on infomation, take her somewhere you wouldnt normally go in that way you both learn something together
@Wooden,I always wanted a kiddie seat for the bike, the wife would never let me have one,I should have put my foot down on that one but nevermind, they all ride bikes(got 2-3 bikes each, lucky buggers)they all grew up around me doing bikes so it is natural for them to ride.Iwonder what they would do if I never loved/did bikes...oh scary thought, they migth be a doctor or a lawyer........HaHaHa :)

Congratulations on the baby girl, Hollowing Karma ? I think two brakes is good but stay fixed in my opinion. Babies don't weigh much as you already know. I still have the baby/child carrier from 1975 (Pink) and put it back on the Raleigh 3 speed but my daughter would not put her daughter in it. She wanted buckels and belts and helmet etc. Things have changed a bit. If she had not been around I would have plopped the kid in and pedaled on down the road and the kid (Brooke) would instinctively held on even at 1 year of age. But maybe not. enjoy the time they grow up fast and furious. (ferocious too maybe)

Thanks Wood. I've only been riding fixed on the IRO. This is getting turned into a single speed. Probably do a 20t freewheel, some fenders, rear brake added and maybe a mustache bar plus a bell. It's gonna be the bike I use to ride our baby girl around on, so I want it to be a mellow ride. I think it'll be fun set up that way. Coasting will be strange but I think it's safer for our precious cargo. :]

Thanks Luft...it's actually a "bass boat" style powder coat. Black base with green, blue, red, and yellow metallic fleck...looks either black or dark green from a distance...looks really crazy in the sunshine. Chopped Ourys on the handlebar. Sloman, thanks.. that's some inner tube I wrapped on the top tube so the bars don't strike. Here's the rest of it... http://www.myfixedgear.net/instant-karma-2
