I found someone who gave up on this 54cm NYCBike Track Frame. I trimmed the braze-ons for the rear brake cable and took after it with some gold rattle-can paint. I like the results. The bar is made out of some teak that I had in the shop. I decided that I wanted a little more to hold onto and put some grips on this bar. I like the feel with the more vertical position the track frame offers.

I need the bars completed as a crossbow for the next time a driver crosses my path with out warning thinking I am invisible or standing still or whatever. Thanks nice build.

I’d like it better without the wood handlebar. It’s like an Aston Martin with wood paneling, just out of place.

Interesting build, I like it. Now just carve you out a wood seat and you’re done. Later.

I really like the originality of these bars and must admit that I am surprised we haven’t seen more. BIG up! I would have a terror that in a moment of danger they could just snap – especially if your a big boy like me (6’2 200). And that has already happened to me (in London a tech over tightened a shifter screw on a carbon flat-bar when the bike was built – a Cannondale – and as such at a moment of high stress pretty soon thereafter I found myself quickly slammed to the ground holding 1/4 of my handlebar. I have rarely been so angry at a bike shop)
