Hit two Potholes and call me in the morning!
July 25th, 2010 @2:07 am
i rarely hit potholes, but if i am forced to go through one i do a very slight bunny hop, pretty much just unweighting the whole bike so it passes over like nothing happened. good trick for preserving regular rims too.

Someones getting free perscriptions for heavy drugs here,I could have dismissed this bike easily but I had a good look at the artwork and kinda like it,freaky but like it

This is by no means a beater. The parts selection is pretty top notch. The inclusion of an EAI cog speaks volumes. I would be able to tolerate the wheels much much better if they matched – like 2 HEDs.

nice build. looks punkrock

A spinergy in the front, wooden handlbars, and talks of slight bunny hops. I really hope you survive this bike. That sounds like a lethal combination. Those wheels crack under normal riding stress, let alone urban commuting. Make sure you keep an eye out for cracks/bulges/discoloration around the joints and along the rim.
I like the frame. You should post more detailed shots of it.

ha. wooden handlebars? i would shit my pants.
July 25th, 2010 @6:12 am
Having all parts on my front end that are prone to crack would make me shit my pants. Every ride I would be wondering if it was the ride that I had a catastrophic failure and was about to loose all of my teeth. No one should want to be in the collar bone club.

Look’s like something that Jean-Baptiste Basquiat would drive if he was still around.

nice artwork, funny bike-scary fragile.be careful as you enjoy.

like it. it’s wild

i feel like the rider of this bike might be huffing paint on a semi-regular basis

Waste.

some nice spoked wheels would look nice,is the art work hand drawn, stickers or decoupage?
July 26th, 2010 @6:36 am
I would like to see it live and up close. Modern art for sure reminds me of Andy Warhol .
July 26th, 2010 @10:08 am
Love it…but would rather see some black spoked wheels.
July 26th, 2010 @11:28 am
like the frame and the “art” on it….
but pursuit frames with risers look awkward and goofy to me. so does 3 spoke HED with 4 spoke spinergy.
bike screams trendiness.
im turning hipster just looking at it.

Like slo mentioned before on another post this will be dated, so as long as you can live with that. Kind of like smartfortwo’s, sure they’re cars but who wants to drive them in fifty years?

Hell yeah Kubusya!! Basquiat was awesome! As for this bike…I don’t get you guys…some funny frames you like some you don’t. For a funny frame this actually looks pretty comfortable. The drop from saddle to bar isn’t too extreme. And it’s not a riser…it’s a flat bar. Obviously a long stem and more vertical bar is needed to make it comfortable. If this had some spokes instead of these wheels I bet it would be getting a lot more love.
July 27th, 2010 @11:36 am
Bullhorns, spoked wheels, tight chain and no pink straps would get me to love this. I’m just not a huge fan of collage bikes but hey I’m not a fan of flat green downsloping top tube frames either.

awesome funny bike. quit your bitching guys!
July 28th, 2010 @5:45 pm
It definitely has a style of it’s own.
July 28th, 2010 @8:39 pm
This bike has some expensive parts on it…I really hope your Spinergy doesn’t give out on you, for financial reasons alone. I feel like you could have spent your money more wisely, but who knows maybe your HED3 was a steal. Sell your wheelset and buy some other expensive stuff and have a cool bike.
I do like that despite the obviously dangerous parts on this bike, you still have a brake. Yay for strange safety!

JEEEEEEZZZ…That is what’s happenin noww != Right down to the wood stick! Have you thought about a steamed bent wood high hanger for the handlebar? that would be a nightmare.. Great work!

thoroughly entertaining comments. i don’t know how to update pictures here, but i think this week i’m gonna put an aerospoke on the front, a velocity deep-v on the back, and take the brake off. also maybe some sawed-off riser bars for hooligan handling.
July 29th, 2010 @1:53 am
How did you do the artwork?
July 29th, 2010 @5:21 pm
Leaf, how do you have so much disposable income? Like buying an expensive wheel set, then planning to buy another? I wish I could do that haha
July 29th, 2010 @5:59 pm
He could tell you but then he’d have to “whack” you.
July 29th, 2010 @9:00 pm
he’s a doctor. dr.leaf hmmm you’re not samson’s (from half baked) bike delivery guy are you?
July 30th, 2010 @10:43 pm
you guys are hilarious.
the artwork is quite a few years worth of stickers. i’ve also been obsessively collecting bike parts quite a while, so i’ve got all kinds of wheelsets lying around. in the end i do admit spoked wheels are the most practical. i will post the update.
p.s. i tattoo for a living.
