i have to say i agree with luft..im not big on the camo pad and bartape, chain, barend levers. thats all aesthetics though and to me simple is best.

He wanted to match the only matching detail, camo, which I personally believe is one of the most overrated swatches of material since corduroy. This bike just needs to be simplified, stripped of excess, built up for speed. Silver Mavics and a straight bar, modest black tape, and some straps and cages. That’s what I don’t get, if it’s supposed to be a commuter then what’s with the platform pedals? Total contradiction. Unless it’s single speed, but how fun would that be as a commuter? Not too fun in my opinion.

Reminds me of my Raleigh Roadster 3 speed with horns. Good for a rainy day with the mudguards. Still a high gear . I had a 52/16 and also found it too high and went to 18. Thanks interesting ride but why the top tube cover?

Lose the ugly top tube pad and red chain, swap the camo bar tape for black and bar end brake for standard front mount. My thoughts anyway.
