My dad’s late ’70s Takara road frame that I repainted and converted last summer. All parts are original or no-name. I’m running 27″ wheels and 53×16 gear ratio. I wanted the paint job to look like a classic old blue & white chevy.

What city is that?

53×16 seems a little on the harsh side,.. i would have gone with an 18 or 20t cog. Nice bike otherwise,… and that is hands down the best tail light ever!!

I’d be afraid of it falling. Cool bike, reminds me of an SE Lager for some reason.

The city is Houston. The photo was taken from the top balcony of Sid Richardson residential college at Rice University.

Not sure why my reply has been under moderation for so long… The city is Houston, the photos are taken at Rice University. I like the 53×16 ratio usually, as the streets are almost completely flat in Houston. I’m currently in the process of repainting, will repost after. I’ve already taken off the braze-ons, what do people think of removing the front and rear hangers? For the sleek, track-like look.
