51cm Aluminum Road bike conversion from Dektra bikes. One of a kind very few made. Light=23lbs. Tech 9 flip flop hub. 46/16 Origin 8 stem, crank, track pedals. Tech 9 deep 43′s. Stock front brake/seat/post. Flipped/chopped bullhorns. Loads of fun for Portland bombing. Would like some lighter wheels/seat/fork.
Max speed so far 29mph.
Total paint change to electric cyan soon!

One of a kind or very few made? It’s a decent conversion. It’s kind of hard to see any detail with this pic. Is that a quill stem or threadless?

this looks more like silver than chrome.

I believe thats bare aluminum,not chrome dearie.And 23lbs. for a 51cm?thats not light anymore.My geared steel 57cm Bianchi is 20 lbs.And low production numbers?If thats an A1 Fuji(thats my guess)conversion it’s one of thousands.enjoy what you got,don’t puff it up(unless that makes it lighter).

hmmm. Must be nice “Sloman” Its not a Fuji A1. Your rude. Its a limited production bike from Dektra! At least I wont pass 5 of my bike on the road everyday. I be you only ride your bike when its nice out, when it rains you jump in your Jeep. Gears are for old men/ladies.

Put extra air in the tires to make it lighter!

Not digging that handlebar set. Are those origin 8 bars taped or not, because that tan/brown color really throws off the esthetic symmetry of the Chrome Bomber. Try some light gray tape, it would be a nice blend, and eliminate the current eye sore.

Try helium in the tyres. It’s innert and would match the feel of the bike.

Looks nice, except the bars. Match the tape to the saddle for better continuity.
I’m guessing you’re a fairly relaxed rider overall to get a max of 29, it can do a lot more if you really go for it (I’ve had 34 so far from 46/17). 23lbs doesn’t seem that light for aluminium, as both my fixies are 70s or 80s steel and they weigh in at 24lbs for Pug- 51cm and under 23 for Wasp- 57cm.
Cheers

Thanks for the comments! They are the stock bars. Yes I need to loose the yellow bars, they show every bit of dirt. I guess I could lose a pound or two by switching back to the non-v rims but I’m happy with the durability they have been true after 1 year of city riding. The front fork is a beast Aero type Steel blade, i’m sure its a good bit of weight. Also the seat/seat post is stock, heavy.
Here is some links to the only other images on the web I have found.
The “Dektra” company only makes shaft drive bikes?

This guy did some conversion of the same bike! I took off all the stock stickers he left some on.
Let me know if any of you have seen any Dektra road bike/fixed conversions in PDX. Thanks

Chrome…er uh….silver er uhh…..Aluminum bomber…that is.

I take that back. It’s not cheap it’s just simple, which isn’t bad. Overcomplicating detracts from the purity that is fixed gear. I’d probably switch to silver wheels to brighten it up if you’re doing cyan, and possibly upgrade the saddle. Cheers.
