Very nice build, super clean. I really like the half wraps and kudos for the removal the RIM stickers!

Your friends did a nice job putting it together, very nice set up. I would have liked the bars wrapped the rest of the way. Nice bike.

looks very nice, but you got the brake lever on backwards.
i have the same one. the longer lever goes across the stem so its easier to pull on that side.
IMO tape the drops…they look nice untapped i will admit, but if you are just going to ride the tops whats the point in having track drops? looks? that goes too far on the “aesthetics/non-functionality” ratio. at least get some barend plugs, unless you want to take a core sample of your leg the off chance you fall, which does happen time to time. they make clear tape and track grips btw if you like the silver look of the drops.
but all in all, very nice build.

Guys, thanks for your positive comments! @illdthedj, I have to admit that using drop bar is “fashion over function” for me, I use it only when my friends ask me to sprint … I believe drop bars is hard core stuff
! … Actually, I was thinking to put bull-horn bar in the beginning. The reason I’m using shot lever is so I’m able to wave hand either right or left while braking when turning … City traffic sucks! I was placed it on the left hand side of the stem, but the brake wire disturbed my left hand fist when I hold top part of the handle bar.

In defense of this style of taping/grip half way on drops…..I spend 90% of my time on top of my drops near the stem or right where they curve forward. If the wind kicks up or I want to haul ass I’ll go to “drop” position for a bit…but in the drop position I never find that I need the same level of grip on my bar as I do up top. Anyway…regarding sweating and not slipping. I took a 30 mile ride yesterday with my riser bar and Ourys and on one super gnarly hill I did start sweating and my hands were slipping even on Ourys.

Right when I saw this I thought YES, they’ve done it right. I think this build is brilliant and the half grip is totally fine and up to the rider. You can lose grip with anything, so it makes sense to choose what works best for you. I usually do risers with tape across and gloves in the rainy season.
