the very first of the brick lane bike own frames. it was a sample from the builder to see if brick lane wanted to have a load made and i actually had it a year before they had started selling them. what makes this frame different from the now made blb frames is the steering head stem is about 2 inches taller than it should be. (if you can see) i dont know if this was intentional or a fuck up but its not on any other track bike ive seen and i think it makes it more unique. saves me using spacers too. ha. i have just painted it brown and orange (originally black) and changed pretty much everything that came on it. just waiting for a chris king headset and a chain.

Interesting. Yeah I thought that headtube looked a bit odd on the top end. I hope that doesn’t cause any extra strain on the frame. I like the orange fork, it kind of pops on the bike. Also, this may be a fixed gear but this is not a track bike.

this is actually really good color usage, i dig it. like the opposite use of black and white. handlebars white or silver? the orange fork is sweet.
thats interesting about the head tube. dig the shape of the saddle (which is that?)
get a black chain ;p
seat looks a little high but whatev.

Saddle is a Selle Italia CONCOR. Check EBay…they’re really nice…and not cheap.

I love Brick Lane Bikes and I miss them since having moved out of London. They were the only bike shop I have ever come across that let me stare over the shoulders of their mecs often enough that I could finally learn how to build a decent wheel. I have a BLB Track frame in black in London on a rather modest build. Nice to see where it came from. I LOVE THE ORANGE FORK. SO cool. I wish I had seen this before. Cheers on a nice ride. Where do you ride it? Track or City?

Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I like everything about this but I’d like to see a no rise stem, a brake, and a driveside photo. Cheers.
