Nice bike. Cool details. I dig it. I just had an all black deep v built…black hub, black double butted spokes with silver nipples.

That’s a hell of a fork you got there. Liking the bike.

nice mix of colors, besides I love anodized parts they seem to go well with most styles as long as its done correct, and this bike comes correct, very nice and the forks altho to me offset the frame really work well

matte fork with gloss frame, nice detail.

Hey thanks guys!! yeah the fork is pretty nuts, it is superlight easton carbon fork, actually there is electrical tape on it to cover up the logos.?? any advice on making the bike look better??

Awful

Come now mms thats no fun. Points taken for non driveside but I like the hint rather than explosion of gold. I love the look of track grips on drops…what I’m hoping to do if I ever get some money (come on flakey craigslisters!!!). And the matte fork works well. Cheerios.

Thanks guys! Yeah they aren’t track grips, I just did a track wrap with some deda bar tape, well drive side photo looked weird , so I didn’t post it.

i like this, reminds me of that fuji X obey bike, i love that the fork and the fact it cost more than the frame.

I like the headset touch. Correct if I am wrong but doesnt the fork cost significantly more than the frame? I think this was put together thoughtfully and with experience. Its well done.

but my god, Luft, if I don’t see you tear someone a new one sometime soon, my whole world is going to fall off axis

rider is an asshole, but its a cool bike…

I work is a bike shop, and fork was given to me, which is why it is on the bike, and yes it costs double the frame.
August 6th, 2010 @11:37 am
DOPE! Where did you get those bar end caps?
August 6th, 2010 @12:07 pm
I’m surprized Lufty let him ride on the spoke sticker in Heat Wave.Mellow man.

I sort of went off on the bamboo bikes. Besides, a comment like “awful” isn’t infuriating it’s just lazy and irritating.

Hey thanks for the support, The bars are Nitto B123AA gold track drops, they are really hard to find, it took months to find a one, and i got the only one which was in stock. The bar ends are from Soma.

carbon forks just dont tickle my fancy, but otherwise this ride is sick, “I LOOOOOOVE GOOOOOWLD!”
August 7th, 2010 @12:15 am
That’s a directional chain, and it’s on backwards
August 7th, 2010 @4:51 am
@ trekkie, looks like a half link chain to me, and i’d personally run it the other way too.
I like the gold highlights on this, the fork is awesome. Not so keen on the rims but nice build overall
August 7th, 2010 @8:15 am
It is a half link chain, although when i ran it the “other way” it didnt work properly, I had a mechanic at BTI install it, BTI is one of the biggest bike parts distributors in the world, and i trust him. Thanks though. Yah the carbon fork is pretty fun.

It looks very nice, cool colors and nice balance. The only thing that worries me is the sharp corners on the stem and clamp to bars. If you go over the bars as I did recently, the stem will snag some meat and the road surface will compound the injury and rub some grit into the minced muscle mess.

Cool bike, great attention to detail, the gold bar ends, and axle bolts are a nice touch.
August 10th, 2010 @10:17 pm
@Ben: The taste of it, the tekkkssshture.
I really like this build as is. Stem doesn’t worry me unless of course I was one who wrecks my wooden shoes regularly. The gold is very tastefully done, bars do a lot, was worth the search in my opinion.

This bike isn’t being used in Montreal is it?
August 17th, 2010 @1:43 pm
Nope! it is down in New Mexico
September 20th, 2010 @6:57 pm
How do ya think this bike would look with a frame like a dolan, or a leader?? maybe the 725? or should i stick to classy steal? same gold parts though.
September 20th, 2010 @7:06 pm
stick to this.Leaders are just trendy but this frame will still look current 10 tears from now.classic lines, modern touches.Even those colors aren’t terrible.
September 20th, 2010 @7:33 pm
I would stay as is,if not go steel classic polished or chrome frame/fork would be awesome with the gold, but don’t use a black stem if you going wid chrome
September 20th, 2010 @8:40 pm
Bike looks good, it is finished. Check the air and ride it, be Happy with it as is.
