looks like you spent more on brooks than you did on the bike

a pista geometry and frontcarier ???
r u suicidal ??
July 18th, 2011 @2:38 pm
The pista’s headtube/fork is pretty slack for a track bike, he’ll live..

Nice bike, but something does not fit quite right…
July 18th, 2011 @4:18 pm
its missing the 6 pack in the carrier…

Good Lookin! and practical

What’s next? A trailer hitch on a Ferrari? Okay, maybe its not that bad. Actually it looks kind of cool. Including the Brooks. Foot retention please. I have a soft spot for silver pistas. Still, a tisket a tasket…

why not just get a bike made for a whak basket. I am all about racks and function but like JQ said -a Ferrari pick up is just not right.
July 18th, 2011 @6:53 pm
Dope. The rack and straps gives it an unexpected but kinda classic feel.

I bet the chick that rides this is super hot

despite being a track bike with a basket….i still like it allot actually lol…. i mean, ive always thought of pistas as more of a street fixed gear than a track specific bike. now if this is was pista CONCEPT with panniers and baskets, that would be absolutely ridiculous.
July 19th, 2011 @11:59 am
basket on track bike debate aside, i will say its ok right now aesthetically….but could be better i think. black brooks and saddle bag? ok. with blue grips and housing? hmm…then gold pedals? i personally would have just gone all black and/or silver
July 19th, 2011 @12:12 pm
The brooks is actually navy and the bag is green. Ulitimately I want to wrap the crossbar (over Bianchi logo because one is enough) in either blue or green leather, kind of like the Ateliers D’Embellie Leather Porteur Bike (http://www.ateliersembellie.com/COG%26BITS.html). I am also considering switching the wheels, gold hub with v’s maybe. I never built a fixed before…Any suggestions on wheels would be appreciated.
July 19th, 2011 @12:21 pm
I meant leather over the downtube, not crossbar.
July 19th, 2011 @12:29 pm
Big NO to any leather on the frame, that will push that bike over the cliff edge it’s currently resting on and down into the hipster abyss.. Just man up and peel that sticker of if you dont like it..
July 19th, 2011 @12:38 pm
fake bianchi frame??
July 19th, 2011 @12:42 pm
The bianchi logo is under clearcoat. so its strip it all or live with it.
July 19th, 2011 @12:57 pm
ya,Awe I was thinking the same thing. Something about that seat stay junction doesn’t look right. Anyone else?
July 19th, 2011 @1:03 pm
In a few of the pics I forgot to take off a cable lock that was on there. It is wrapped around the toptube at the seat stay.
July 19th, 2011 @2:38 pm
I was looking at that too, Slo. I’ve never seen a Bianchi Pista with stays joined higher than the top tube. But then I’ve never seen one in this size. This thing is tiny.
July 19th, 2011 @2:46 pm
49cm. I’m short.
July 21st, 2011 @2:50 am
Sloping top tube? Fishy…
July 21st, 2011 @11:16 am
This bike is sick. Totally love it. there seems to be a lot of haters on here rdhurd.
July 21st, 2011 @6:39 pm
My bad. Just saw all the 49ers have this angle.

While there is nothing wrong with the fork some Pista-owners go after-market for a more lacks geometry. There are some cool silver forks available. This might fit better with the front rack business and a good time to replace the low-end headset that comes with this bike. Really the only weak link in this package.
July 27th, 2011 @8:46 am
this bike is really cool. id ride it any day. lol at those idiots thinking its fake..

-1 Saddle to bar height?
200$ saddle and 5$ Polka dot grips?
I think the rating is a bit too high for this busy bike!
October 31st, 2011 @2:55 pm
utilitarian is good…but this bike is gross. I hope you got an extraordinary deal on those pedals, grips, and cable housing, cause they don’t fit in on this bike. I also really dislike the look of a lock wrapped around the seat post/top tube…hide it in the rack, saddle bag, backpack, or even your pocket

That’s a wee little frame M A N , how tall are you ?? In your first photo there are more wheels than bike , HA HA HA . I’m just kiddin with ya buddy..

^ Way to be a dick. Cool porteur concept, needs a little tuning to fully achieve it. Leather tape to match the saddle and bag. Silver pedals, foot retention, leather straps. Respect for the porteur rack, never mind the ignorant fucks. Build what you want – out of what you want. The Pista will make a killer porteur.
