TOP CLASS. Love it. Love it. Love it. Absolutely killing. I think that my favorite aesthetics part is the matching celeste front and back fork sandwiching the black frame.

I wish I owned it. BEST of luck to your so. At least he will have the best bike there.

The more I see this, the more I like it. Your son is going to rock on it. I would give my left nut to purchase this frame from you.

Thank you and everyone elso for the SUPER comments. I prefer it with the original bar, pedals and saddle, but they don’t seem to work for my son. Especially the pedals. The only people around here using clips are myself and the Keirin guys. When my son’s off season, I swap the pedals with the original Ofmega ones and Super Turbo saddle. The bar in the second pic is the original too. When I get some time I’ll post some “standing still” photos. It’s not a show bike so there are chips here and there but, I still think it’s the coolest track bike around. Thanks!!

i think its great that your son made nats on a 20+yr old frameset! best of luck to him! what events will he be competing in?

Hello There jcore, I hope it doesn’t take too long for this comment to be posted. I posted a comment to FabFive but, it’s still under moderation… Actually, my son is a road racer. He qualified for the road race nats about 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago he qualified for the 3k Individual Pursuit and 4k Team Pursuit. He has the 115k road race the day before the track events start. Poor guy…

great bike great back story. hope he does well.

@frank-oh wow..he has a lot of work cut out for him! wish him luck from us! some still shots would be great..especially with the bike set up with the drops and turbo. from the looks of it the paint chips arent slowing him down, and thats what matters! im 23 and ended up running a bike depot..wish i could have gone the route your son is taking but i didnt have the skill. its still fun to be involved and support them though!

Hello again jcore, I didn’t amount to much on the bike either. I did enjoy traveling aroung to different races though. I’m a volunteer sports trainer for the Special Olympics in Japan now. I train people how to be a cycling coach. It’s really fun to watch the athletes ride their bikes. Everyone gets a kick out of it.

yea, our shop started out as a bike depot. while the depot is still our “bread and butter” we are turning into a bicycle shop as well. if you walked in off the street, you would think were a normal shop. we sponsor one of the local high school teams and the riders basically have free reign of the shop, and i let them order their stuff through me wholesale. its fun having first time riders building up their first bike, but nothing compares to a close sprint in the velodrome! will your son racing the keirin circuit?
July 1st, 2010 @6:33 am
Before you race the keirin circuit, you have to go to a keirin school for a year. It’s a boot campish kind of place where you live in a dorm and get yelled at everyday. Your track time has to meet their standards before you can enter. A couple of my son’s friends are going/went but he doesn’t seem to be interested. Seems like he wants to see if his bike will get him into college.
July 1st, 2010 @9:44 am
yea, college would be a good route. i hear there are upwards of 600 keirin riders in japan. seems like it would be difficult to pay the bills with that kind of odds. well, again..wish him luck from us and let us know how he does! those pics would be nice too..wink wink.
