Hello everybody,
My name is Gabriel Vereczkei, I live in Media, PA., which is about 20 minutes south of Philadelphia. I have been building bikes for about 3 years, mostly single speed conversions, recently started converting and building fixed gear bikes. This is a Biachi Pista with pink Velocity Deep-V machined wheels. I hope you like it. If you want to know more about this particular bike or if you wish to send me an email, send it to gabrielvereczkei@yahoo.com. Thank you.

Other then the white chain cool bike. The pink works well, and not to over the top. A set of deep V’s that looks good. Nice ride!

Good looking bike Gabriel.

so if you build fixed gear bikes, then why do you have an off the shelf pista with a few obviously cosmetic modifications? the bianchi pista is not the best choice for a first fixed gear bike for the price and anyone who knows anything and works at a biks store would know that but that’s beside the point. any bike that has no toe clips and “upgrades” elsewhere demonstrates that the owner has absolutely no idea what they are doing.
please buy toeclips for your safety and my sanity. learn to ride and then spend your money on all the pretty colors. c’mon now, seriously people..
and by the way, the deep v’s you bought have machined walls made for front and rear brakes that your bike doesn’t have. lucky for you, they’ll still sell on ebay. i’d unload those asap because it’s just plain embarrassing.

OK OG, I’m thinking about putting together my first fixie. What should I be looking for? (Other than toeclips that is) Everyone else feel free to pile on with advice as well.

HCR,
it all depends on your budget and what type of riding you want to do my friend. i learned to ride on a vintage conversion for a couple years before i invested the big bucks to a track frame. just learning i say pick up a vintage roadbike off of craigslist for under $80.
look for:
-the correct size (most important)
-horizontal dropouts (must have to convert to fixed)
-easily removable derailers, chainrings, brakes, etc
check out http://sheldonbrown.com/deakins/how-to-fixed-conversion.html
for the most comprehensive guide. enjoy. and i urge you to learn without a front brake, it only holds you back and teaches you bad technique. check out

the white chain is a little much. but with a nickel chain those sidewalls would probably not stand out too much. i’m not positive but it looks a lot like those are clipless pedals… so i think gabe is probably fine and knows what he’s doing and you dont need to worry yourself too much “OG”.
also i just did a conversion with vertical dropouts using a half link and fucked with the ratio and the chainline is nice and taught and works fine. though i wouldnt go out and buy anything before you’re sure it fits.
third you shouldn’t encourage no brakes and cite mash sf you could get a 12 year old killed. brakes don’t weigh anything. they can be cleverly integrated into the look. and you dont have to use them. its called an “oh shit break”

big fan of the pista’s!

You spent all that $$$ on the frameset and wheels, but stuck a cheep ass tiny BMX seat on it, poorly played! LAME!
November 10th, 2009 @10:13 am
OG, I ride fixed clipless and do just fine. As for the Pista, it’s decent albeit plain, minus the clone seat and brakeless machined wheels. Brakeless, though, is just plain stupid.

i do not understand why there exist so many haters when it comes to fixed gear bikes. some people like ribbed condoms, some like unribbed. machined/nonmachined, who the hell are you to humiliate a stranger? live and let live… the thing about fixed gear bikes, is that they are very obvious social indicators…and some people simply do not catch on that well…i think it is parallel to gradeschool bullying…and we all know how the bullies turn out in the long run. stop the hate…or at least show your face

fixedOG, you talk a lot of smack online but im sure your a fucking fruit in real life.
the binachi pista is one of the best frames for a fixed gear, the intended use of this bike is for velodrome but is equipped off the shelf so that it can be ridden as a fixed gear commuter.
how do you know that the owner does not do track racing?
also, the wheels are fine, quit your bitching – sometimes one finds deals on machines wall wheels cause they are not desired by idiots like you.
i say sweet bike expect the chain!

……umm? fixedOG! i think thoes are clipless pedals. i dont think you dont know what your talking about. i suggest you crawl back up your mommy cunt and die!
March 12th, 2010 @1:29 pm
fixedOG,
Man, you need to chill out. The world doesn’t have to conform with your hipster fixed-world philosophy. Let the guy build the bike the way he likes. Your way is not the only way. No one tells you how to ride, do they? Just let people be. Jeezus.
April 6th, 2010 @8:29 pm
OG is an absolute moron. get the fuck out of here talking shit like that man, for real. Although everyone is entitled to they’re own personal opinion, when you just come out to bash someone else with your senseless garbage spare us all and can it. I ride on machined sidewall rims….and ohhhh no!!!! I am not running brakes!!!!!!!!!! I started with having a front brake, so when I bought my deep V’s I made sure to get them with machined sidewalls, Now that I am much more familiar with riding I have removed the brake. Does this mean I have to go out and buy a brand new set of rims in your eyes??!!?? Like everyone before me has basically stated You’re an idiot, plain and simple. Worry about yourself and not what other people are doing with they’re $$ and they’re bikes.
I say fuck what that guy has to say! and the build is killer! Ive been looking for a Pista Frame set, but now looking at the Bianchi Pista Concept frame sets. Keep doing what you do and dont take anything morons have to say, there will always be haters.

So the white chain is too much but the pink deep-v’s are fine? give me a break.
April 10th, 2010 @5:00 am
Those sure look like clipless pedals to me. If you need to tell people that riding without brake is stupid then thats fine with me too. People can post anything they damn please on this site. Inane comments about cunts and morons? Sure! Why not? Does it really matter? Respond to the comments. It helps balance things. Besides, this site is about opinions. So share away! I think pink is a great color… for a music box that sits on a pink dresser belonging to an 8 year old girl. But hey… thats just me. On a Pista (a great bike) I could be polite and say pink rims is “unexpected” but since when is this site about being polite? I think it looks (machined or not) putrid… in a Pepto Bismol way. Maybe if the frame was pink the color might work? …don’t know… White chain? Not for me. Otherwise this looks like a pretty quick ride. and as bullet-proof as a reasonably cheap fixed gear bike will get. I like brakes too but not for velodrome work. My name is Gabriel Vereczkei, I live in Media, PA. needs to… I don’t know …but he sure likes posting bikes to this site. Seems to be a little home away from home for him. thats fine too.
April 10th, 2010 @5:13 am
show what Gabe can do to even a good frame.Pass the Pepto please.
April 10th, 2010 @5:16 am
actually, except for the colors and ass hatchet ,it’s not bad.needs a brake.old post so has he gotten worse or better?
April 10th, 2010 @5:38 am
I don’t think gabe is really trying when putting his bikes together so I don’t know if its a matter of him getting better or worse as much as its a coincidence that the parts he threw together actually seem like they belong together and he ran out of white spray paint. Also, labeling yourself OG and then giving advice that bad just shows that you’ve never known what you’re talking about. It’s pretty sad and ironic since you bashed gabe for not knowing what he’s doing (which I sadly agree with you on). You two are far more similar than you think.
April 10th, 2010 @5:42 pm
I like the frame, stem, bars and crank.
Not keen on the rest, but it looks ok. Could really do with a better saddle though
April 10th, 2010 @6:32 pm
What jqnyc said. I can be a cynical bastard if I want to. Because my vision of a fixed gear is neither right nor wrong for everyone else. So chill.
April 10th, 2010 @7:42 pm
sorry CS.I just don’t think some of the crap Gabe shows off should see the light of day.I think it is wrong to destroy a great geared bike to make a “conversion” ,or throw hip parts at a dumpster frame and deem it safe or great. Some of them are pretty nice.whats the line re:monkeys, typewriters and the Bible?Don’t know him,his experience level but he is trying.but some of them are BIzzare(and probably unsafe)and selling here is tacky.
April 10th, 2010 @8:26 pm
Why not sell and give a percentage back to this site? or swap.
April 10th, 2010 @8:32 pm
is there a place for that here?be good thing.stay away from E-bites maybe, deal with fixie folk.
April 10th, 2010 @9:38 pm
sloman, I agree with you completely. The OG labeling person i was referring to was the fixedOG commenter. I don’t think gabe should be trying to covertly sell stuff on this website either, especially since its mostly crap bikes. I don’t think there’s any skill to what he’s doing, he’s just mass producing frankenstein bikes that don’t fit together which I think is not fitting in with the overall purpose of this site.

Gabriel you must be very tall. I would like this bike more if it had a front brake and black rims and black chain and saddle ( Brooks Professional please dark brown ) and flip and chop the drops into mini bullhorns and point them down. And remove the labels and replace with only one = NL Thanks and lower the saddle about 4 inches since I am only six feet tall.
April 17th, 2010 @6:36 pm
This douche bag has 28 bikes for sale on MyFixedGear, please remove him, he is polluting the site with his commerce..
Copy and paste this into Google to see exactly how many he has:
“Gabriel Vereczkei” site:http://www.myfixedgear.net
Why can’t you use eBay and leave this site to people into bikes?
July 16th, 2010 @8:40 am
I ripped the guts off my old Shimano and stripped it to a single wheel and chain that attaches to my elbow. It’s not even a bike no more!
August 1st, 2010 @7:15 pm
Strip this down and Start OVER

Nice Bianchi. I currently ride a Bianchi so I like to see Bianchi fixed gears. Not too sure about the pink rims, but hey if it works for you then ride on. That seat looks too comfortable. Put a Brooks saddle on there.
October 21st, 2010 @6:21 pm
i guess im the only one who hates brooks… yeah they look “cool” but goddamn are they uncomphy to ride…
April 3rd, 2011 @7:43 pm
^ I can’t stand brooks saddles unless they are particularly well placed or period on a restoration
