is that a brake caliper behind the crank? Why do all these bent tube rides have the rear wheel so far back? Isn’t the reason for the bend to get the wheel closer to the seat tube?
The reason for a bent seat tube is to get a shorter wheel base with out having to sacrifice top tube lenght. I guess you still get that to some degree without having the wheel slammed against the seat tube..
if the wheel is way out back, how do you figure you still get a short wheelbase?also isn’t there an aero effect too on the tight wheel? isn’t that the idea behind Leaders and Concepts?
Well even if the wheel isn’t tucked in the wheel base still is shorter.. Just lock at a bent seat tube bike and imagine where the bottom bracket would be if it was a straight seat tube..
But this bike is a pretty bad example though, I think it’s mostly for looks on this frame.

It’s a good thing you labeled the rims. I had no idea what I was looking at.

I’m guessing on a brake since its attached to a brake lever?
I think labeling the wheels is a sweet idea.. Needs a “white” label on the frame to get at ten though..

We can see the cable is attached to the brake lever but where does the other end go?

I’ve looked at both of these posts and I still can’t figure out what is going on with that cable. I see something suspect on the non-drive side.
