This was my first rebuild, I didn’t want to get too crazy, tried to keep it simple, but classy. It was originally black with white and yellow stripes/font, but was in bad shape, so I scrapped that for the flat white white wear a clear gloss coat. I built this bike during my first summer in Austin. I miss Austin. Suggestions?

Clean bike. Doesnt get me completely going thou. I would shorten the brake cable just a little.
What kinda spokes are that. Is it those flat ones?

Love the box rims and white frame, looks classy.. Personally I would change the saddle to something less chunky looking, and with a frame that big you probably could lower that stem down a bit.. But first I would change that fork, it looks really bent..

what is going on with that fork?

Survey says…you have a bent fork. $20 should get you a new one. I like the economy of your build. Just a bike for smashing around on. No BS. Nice and big too.

Needs a bit more tuning to be classy, such as crank, saddle, seat post. That fork looks scary. Stay classy.

Holy shit, that’s one bent fork.

Thanks for the help guys. I had never owned a road bike before this, only mountain. Clearly, I’ve made rookie mistakes, this whole project was all learning experience. I’ve never had anybody say the fork was bent, I thought maybe it was a bad picture angle, but I guess it is, never noticed as I rode. It was definitely an economy build (college budget) both rims are just standard weinmann aluminum rims 27 x 1 1/4, the crank, bb, and chain ring were all SRAM bundle I got off ebay, and yeah the saddle needs to go, still looking for a new one.
