you know i could see this bike being pretty awesome looking if it wasn’t for the lack of seatpost.
a few inches of seatpost would do wonders for this build. its amazing how much better it looks, because it looks normal ie the frame fits you.

UGLY! why do you have to convert every shitty roadbike into a sinlge speed or fixed gear. this would look and function better if it just stayed a road bike.

haven’t checked this in a while.@ daniel, I don’t convert every “shitty” roadbike into a sinlge speed/ fixed gear. this is the only single speed i have and if anything i have tried to make it as original as i can. i wish i had all the original parts to restore it to a 10 speed but i don’t. and the only difference in look and functionality is the fact that there is one gear on the back and not five. other then that it is completely the same as a “road” bike. and @ sloman, are you bipolar? you seemed to think it was okay when you commented on it before when it had a flat bar on it.http://www.myfixedgear.net/74-raleigh-3.

oh and P. S. to others. seat is sposed to be up more than that. the post wasn’t tightened enough when i went riding so it had slid back down

Looks like a classic Raleigh to me. I remember these bikes when they first came out. That fork! I’m glad you kept that signature-Raleigh, two-tone look. No, its not the prettiest girl at the dance but at least she knows not to get all tarted up. Not ugly, just not pretty (see: http://www.myfixedgear.net/cheap-but-bling). A classic seat and handlebars would help it for me. Strapping in is always a good idea. I’m sure this thing goes like a freight train. And yes, Sloman has been bitchy lately. Pay him no mind. Hey, since you don’t bother tightening the seatpost why not put a giant spring inside the downtube? That way when you hop off to take a picture of it it will go back to its proper height and we will all think you know what your doing.

maybe I was on my meds that day and didn’t mention how ugly it is. take the seat off and enjoy.

I know i need to get a vintage seat and stuff. just want to find a good, comfortable one with out paying to much. and the handle bars were just a quick fix to replace the stupid flat bar till i find a original drop bar. oh and i do tighten my seat down, it is actually a problem with the frame up near the seat tube,it doesn’t fully grip the seat post even when it is tightened as much as possible, so after riding it for so long it will eventually sink back down
