Looks great, but the chain drags it down into comic land… ditch it. A classy ride otherwise.

I usually don’t like color matched chains, but it works well here. nice job.

Nice ride. However, white is becoming quite the fixed gear cliche.

yeah I know white is becoming a bit of a cliche, but I did make this before the big fixed gear craze. and the pink chain was the only one they had in stock at the LBS and its grown on me.

I dig the chain.

Hopefully you removed the yellow wheel stickers. To me it is like leaving the price tag on a suit or the dealer sticker on a car window. Thanks nice bike..

I dig Miyata frames. Minus the pink chain and rim tags, it kicks ass.

Or at least this was before you were involved in the so-called fixed gear “craze.” It’s more than just a craze anyway, more than a fad, a hobby, a temporary fix, like a book club, or volunteering at a senior center. This means something to me. It defines a mechanical part of me I previously thought had never existed. It’s a cultural niche that I cling to because I have so little else. Call me trendy, hipster, whatever. I like light beer, and I take pride in my involvement in the so-called fixed gear “craze.”

are you a bike rider?’nuff said.ride and enjoy.the hipsters will hang thier pristine glow in the dark velo-dorkster 1000′s on the wall soon and ride the next trend.we riders will still be riding and anyone who wants can join us.

Good to hear it. Yes I love to ride this bad boy every day along with my other rides and I agree that as long as you love riding the crap out of your bike who cares who likes it, I will still be riding 10 20+ years from now and I know I’ll still enjoy it, as much of you do.

love the bike – hate the chain

who cares about a cliche if you like it who cares what anyone thinks some of you guys really do think your better than everyone else cause you have thought deep and hard about not being the same as the “majority” but the truth is we are all the same we love our bikes and thats all that should matter

I have been following this site for quite sometime. Why these three bikes i.e. The two miyatas and the mixte can stay in top 10 list for so loooong??? I mean compared to other great bikes in this site.

Because the ratingsystem is super gay. Or the owners have loads of friends…

No offense intended to anyone… but the reason a lot of the bikes on here that make it into the top 10 end up staying there is because most people are sheep. They think just because they saw it in the top 10 it must be awesome and they rate it up. Follow the herd.. http://dontdatethatdude.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/dolly-the-sheep.jpg
As for my comment from last April… I still think this bike is a solid conversion but looking at it again it’s cliche. It’s not so kick ass anymore. And the colored chain alone should keep it out of the top 10 permanently.
