I feel like I’ve seen this bike before. I dig it.

Love the 36h on the rear, Shamal on the front. All comes full circle. Silver stem, silver seat post, match the bar tape to a frame color, Italian classic!

I don’t like it at all. Besides the fact, that the Vigorelli does not go too well with silver parts the rear rim is lower than the front. The pink in the Shamal’s decal does not fit in at all. The lower parts are silver, the stem, bars and seatpost are black. Everything, especially the Shamal looks out of place on this bike. Whether fitting in terms of style nor age and era.
I guess it’s hard to personalize a bike with a frame that has so much presence itself, that everything else should step back and be e.g. black or white. And that’s only the problem with the colours. Plus, classic parts almost never look good on modern frames.

@As Wicked
It’s almost ridiculous how seriously color conscious people are on this site.
May 26th, 2011 @10:19 pm
Different with as wicked I really like your vigo, just build with your taste and don’t hear any people who flake your bike like he can not have bike like yours
Pretty shamal, classy build
May 26th, 2011 @10:42 pm
You don’t have good taste, if only to see the bike from time. there is no problem combining the classical with the modern synthesis. that must be considered is how to display a beautiful bike in his appearance. apparently you lack in appearance.
You should learn more about FASHION by the way!
May 27th, 2011 @1:09 am
Sonnns? You have just confirmed what I suspected. This bike has nothing to do with your personality. You are merely following what is fashionable. Learn about FASHION? You, my friend, should learn about personal style. Following fashion is exactly that. Following. And following is for sheep. It indicates a weak personality. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of people just like you who will ooh and aah at your ability to follow trends so well.
Anyway, at first I was indifferent about this bike, but now I hate it. It is in no way beautiful, and I hope you get at least some money back for it on eBay soon, now that penny farthings are set to become the new trend.
Have fun brother.

There is always a bad comments in good bikes in this site? See?
May 27th, 2011 @5:22 am
Oh yeah, Sonns, you just proved you have style and a great personality. If you just want to get good comments on your bike, I suggest you ask your mom. She will lie to her little boy and tell him what a beautiful picture he painted. On this site you can get constructive criticism from people who love bikes. Take it or leave it.
By the way, mybe you should care more about style instead of fashion. Because style will never go out of fashion.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!
Are you guys seriously fighting over style vs fashion???
HAHAHAH!!!!!!
May 27th, 2011 @8:34 am
ill have to agree…
i mean, its a great bike as is. for sure.
buuuut this site is all about nit picking the f@ck out of bikes soo….yah the all black components and that specific frame to me look very “new school” (super cliche i know lol)…and campy shamals and silver components just feel more old school/classic to me. i could maybe see them working visually better if all other components were silver….but i think a frame like that works with all black and maybe a few white components. just my 2 cents.
May 27th, 2011 @10:17 am
Haha. He said “ask your mom.”
You guys made me shoot beer out of my nose.
May 27th, 2011 @12:47 pm

i still stand by my opinion that the modern frame and black components clash aesthetically with the classic silver components and wheels. a mix of modern and classic could work in terms of juxtaposition, but i dont think it does with this build.
i am not “hating”, but i think allot of people come onto this site expecting everyone to give them a big pat on the back and thumbs up. This site has always been to have people give you brutally honest opinions. i definitely dont agree with hating on peoples bikes, but being brutally honest is different than hating.
you can call me poor or a hater or have no sense of fashion, but as we a well paid graphic designer who hasn’t said anything personally mean spirited, i would have to disagree
tape on the bars, a nice pair of black wheelsets and cranks (i would go with campy pistas and black sram omniums if money is no object) and this build would be stellar.
